It happened to me again! I don't know what it's going to take to stop this from happening but it is really getting on my nerves.

The more I watch Jay the more impressed I am with his water cooling and the Less I ever want to do any kind of water cooling.
  • Jay's experiences with opaque fluids are EXACTLY why I only use clear coolant.
  • @SalemTechsperts
And I got roasted for having the ugliest PC in the world that I can take apart in a matter of seconds. I feel like there's a middle ground between your build and mine for people that still have some sanity left 😅 Awesome video as always!
  • Always remember Ben Heck's lesson #1: Design things which can be easily taken apart later.

RGB is a double edged sword for me. The way it looks, when it works properly is glorious. On the wiring and software side of things, lies the bane of my existence, an otherworldy hellscape. I managed to get my rgb setup to work with one software only and that is a bliss. Once you start mixing several rgb eco systems you are in for a world of hurt and desperation.

Be sooo nice to be there and actually learn more. I've been into pcs for about 10 months and your channel was one of the 1st i came across and then many others. Now I can build one from ground up. Watch..seen.asked and researched. I built one for a friend and just saying thank you Jay for all your content. Really Good stuff. I don't subscribe normally but to yours, I did
  • @davekachel
A testament on how the hassle is not worth water cooling.
  • Seeing all those fan cables makes me even more grateful for how simple Lian Li makes fan management with the link together system

Jay, put some heat shrink tubbing on the brush fleck shaft, this will protect the threads of the fittings hole and the anodizing when cleaning things, I've used similar brush styles and the spring coil will wear a groove into soft aluminum and plastics, all now prevented for $1 worth of heat shrink tube

The channel known for water cooling has always done a great job in making me feel good about my choice to never water cool my pc.
  • @wasd____
This is why I don't bother water cooling anything anymore. Water cooling is really just air cooling with extra steps (because the heat ultimately has to go into the air for rejection to the ambient environment) and, frustratingly, a lot of extra stupid and extra expensive busywork. And with air coolers being as well-designed and having as much thermal capacity as they do these days, the differences are mostly down to being marginal. Really it's a no-brainer.

Same happened to me, this EKWB mystig fog shit fogged my whole system... Switched to DP Ultra - best move I've done tbh
  • @BrettWms
There was a post from EK on their mystic fog and it separating, they advised to NOT flush with distilled water as it messes with balance. They advise to flush with just clear cryo fuel once or twice after distilled water
  • @cjbtlr
Not nearly enough "clean up" videos when it comes to hard line custom cooling - thank you for making this. There's so much content for making one - not much about upkeeping them.
  • @Loki_Firegod
I always love your "issue fixing" videos, because whereas you give great advice in all your videos (well, almost all), these are the ones where I learn the most. I've not built a watercooled system yet, but next one may be first I try - so before I start buying parts, I'm very happy for all input I can find on what to avoid, what to look out for and - should anything come up - how to fix it easily and quickly. The first thing I learn from this is: Make all parts easy to access and, ideally, easy to get out and/or replace. The second: Don't use ASUS (which I've already decided after I finished - more or less - my current system. Had random system lockups for almost a year until finally some firmware update fixed that, and it was 100% ASUS Armory Crate that caused the problems (when I kicked that, the freezes stopped, when I re-installed it, they were back). Another thing I'm learning is that frosted liquid looks cool, but also can cause problems, so for my first wc build I'll propably stick to clear.
  • @zahndy
I hate how the RGB/ARGB connectors are STILL a problem. They should not be reversible or just fall out because they have no latch or ridge to secure or hold them together.
  • @_H0P3_
Thanks for this. Just made my strong feelings against custom loops even stronger. I really-really don't feel the need to screw myself in every orifice by making such a loop ever.
  • @NEWSNINJA3
I’m really glad you made this video. I’m planning a pc build and wanted all white rgb. Something that slipped my mind that you mentioned is white uses all the rgb colors so that draws more power. That is something I never considered and will definitely make sure I don’t run into rgb overload.
