Honestly, in the last few years I've just been falling in love with the TurboGrafix library. Ys blew me away when I first played it, Bonk is just pure fun, I've even started to discover new favorites. It's like a whole world of classic games I missed out on, it's like finding a hidden box of treasure

Devil's Crush is easily one of the greatest pinball games ever made. That soundtrack is absolutely godlike and the visuals are outstanding. It's also on the Genesis under the name "Dragon's Fury" if you don't have a Turbografx...

"I'm sure I deliberately missed your favorite game just to spite you..." mentions rondo of blood Nope. You did good.

You can't miss Galaga '90! It's something I always come back to. It's a fantastic port of Galaga '88, which is the ultimate Galaga game and a must play.

Finally Rondo of Blood getting some love! One of the Best classic style csstlevanias if not the Best 😍
  • The Keith Courage game is actually based on the anime series Mashin Eiyuuden Wataru (at least in the Japanese version). Blazing Lazers is actually a tie-in game to the movie Gunhed (the game was also known as Gunhed in Japan)
  • Great games. I bought TG16 for $35 back in 1992. I loved the system. Underrated and under appreciated at the time.

"I know it's pinball, so it's not all that exciting..." TO EACH HIS OWN MANNNNN! :) Great vid!

Rondo of blood is my favorite old Castlevania by far.
  • As a little girl the Turbografx was always really mysterious to me. British gaming magazines and shows would occasionally mention it, but it never saw an official release here so was a pricey and niche system for import gamers only. The Neo Geo was similarly mysterious, but I'm not sure whether that was released over here or not, either way it was an absurdly expensive console few people would get to play.

Pinball games for the Turbografix 16 are incredible! Castlevania for the Turbografix 16 made my jaw dropped!
  • Bloody Wolf was great military shooter that was similar to games like Contra and Imari Warriors.
  • @Tolbat
    An amazing underappreciated system.

in a weird way the CRT arcade style grahpics on the TG16 sometimes look better than genesis and snes. more arcade looking anyway. freakin sweet system

Final Lap Twin and Moto Roader, in addition to many of the games you mentioned, were a part of my morning ritual before school. I would wake up extra early just to get some time in on my brother's TurboGrafx16.

Had a lot of fun playing the TG16 at a friend's house way back in the day, and funny enough the three games I remember most you mentioned in this video. Bonk, Bomberman, and my personal fave co-oping Shockman was so much fun. Great vid as always!
