As a black woman, I never took " I wonder how dark the babies skin would look" as racist. I remember when my older sister who was married to a white man, also wondered what the baby would look like. My sister hoped the baby had "good hair" while her husband, hoped the baby skin wasn't too pale. I think it's a natural curosity. I hope one day Prince Harry could reconnect with his family, even if that doesn't include Meghan Markle.

The more I hear about Meghan Markle, the less I want to hear about her. Watching Dr Grande is the only way I can stomach learning about the royals.

Markle is one of the most roastable people on earth right now and Dr. Grande does a great job of roasting her. The funny part is that he does it just by presenting the facts.

Meghan Markle has had the longest 15 minutes of fame EVER! This has all become so tiresome. Thank you Dr. Grande, love your analysis.

Literally noone in the UK had any idea Meghan Markle had african american heritage until she started going on about it.

As a professional translator, I can say that the translation mistake claim is ridiculous! Translation mistakes happen, of course, but we are far more likely to FORGET an element than to ADD a element that is not in the source text!

You forgot to say that before “walk away from the entire issue like it never happened” they accepted an award for being vocal about the racism in the royal family. 🤦‍♀️

Oprah needs to step up to the plate here, if she hopes to salvage any part of the reputation she once enjoyed. She never questioned these liars

As a Brit i can only say that the majority of Britain were really rooting for Harry and Meghan when they married. It is honestly inexplicable as to where this has all came from. She continues to treat the public like fools……does she honestly think we don’t know she is behind all of this?

Oprah Winfrey's reaction fueled Markle's accusation . Instead of being a neutral interviewer she encouraged those insinuations by her dramatic reaction.

There was no mistake in translating. There was a discrepancy between the Dutch and the English version. The Dutch paragraphs where the names were exposed were missing in the final English version. Scobie announced that he could not name them because of legal reasons and that no names appeared in his versions of the manuscript. However it seems that the names had been in the original text but were later removed for legal reasons.( Had he "forgotten" what he wrote before?) The Dutch translators received the manuscript which had NOT been changed .All other countries received the adapted version. By mistake or on purpose? It is totally unfair to suggest blame on the translators. They have over 20 year experience in translating manuscripts from English to Dutch and would not risk their reputation for a fantasy book. They have every right to sue him for damaging their reputation.

There is nothing offensive about having dark skin. If you think someone innocently wondering about a baby's complexion is offensive when parents are of different ethnicities, says a lot about YOUR prejudiced thinking about having darker skin.

I'm a white woman with bi-racial children. I, too, wondered about my children's skin color during pregnancy. We had 3 - all colors, sizes and shapes. Also much loved!!

This whole thing is beyond ridiculous. Nobody knows what was said, who said it or in what context. That doesn't really matter to Meghan though who knew what she was doing.

Meghan knows exactly what she is talking about. It is clear that Meghan created this drama out of nothing, i.e. turning innocent comment made by the royal family member to be a vicious racist comment and tarring/slandering the royal family on world stage. I don't believe that Catherine ever mentioned about the skin colour of Archie and naming of Catherine in my opinion is the making of Meghan to turn Catherine into a villain because Meghan is so jealous of Catherine. Catherine has everything that Meghan wants, i.e. Prince William, the title of Princess of Wales (previously Princess Diana's title who Meghan idolised according to her childhood friend),future Queen, loved by staffs, loved by royal family members, loved by the public, a good mother to her 3 beautiful children, loved and admired by her husband and is dedicated to her charity causes. Catherine is everything Meghan wants but will never be. That is the heart of this whole drama. This book has Meghan's finger prints all over it.

When this couple got married, it seemed as if the vast majority of the public was truly excited and very happy about it. There was the beautiful wedding with everyone cheering the new bride, and the beloved Prince Harry. The couple had the platform, resources, and royal fairy dust to do amazing things together; to really make a difference! How did this go so wrong? Truly sad. The life they appear to be living now is so shallow in comparison to the good they could have done together in the U.K.

My granddaughter is a mixed child of Asian and Australian (Scottish background). We were wondered about her eyes - hair - skin colours. We talked about it, laughed about it. She loves rice, eating by bowlful, she loves mangoes ….. we marvelled about her mixed, her personality…. She looks more Aussie than Asian. We are so delighted in every way. Most importantly she is healthy, we love her unconditionally

I did not even know Meghan was allegedly 'black' until i heard it in the media....I'm sure I'm not the only one.

The poor translator was ambushed by the media at her home and she categorically denied that she mis-translated the book. She said the names were there in black and white. And if you check the publishing rights to the book, it states that the publisher is only responsible for the ENGLISH VERSION of the book. Any translation to other languages falls on Omid Scobie and/or his agent. So it was Scobie who hired the translation company/companies and handed them the file to be translated. That odious, plastic-faced rat is evil for letting the poor translators take the fall and her endanger their professional credibility and future work. I suspect he deliberately did all of it to create buzz while escaping legal liability in the UK because it never appeared in their version of the book. Remember how Harry's publishers' put out Spare in Spain first and then "leaked" the contents to create buzz? Anyway, Scobie didn't count on Piers Morgan putting out the names in order to, according to him, "lance the boil" and stop another round of vicious speculation. Now that the world knows who he named, he is now wide open for a lawsuit by the Royal Family.
