as someone who has worked in retail for 15 years, this isnt true, its less than a slap on the wrist for shoplifters, cant even try to stop them or youll get fired. lol, even if caught, the cops dont want to do the work because the justice system will release them

I like how they pass the losses on to their customers by raising the prices. So they basically lose nothing. Seems fare...😠

A lot of dark skin seen on that footage.

I wonder who's gonna tell them....😂😂😂

Steal your personal vehicle? Months and years for public safety kick in. Steal a lipstick? Jail time! Taxes happen immediately upon breath.

What future? I'm homeless and have no future.

Everyone is aware who is actually shoplifting. The usual suspects.

lol who are you kidding there is not actual punishment at all. Hence why it’s gotten worse

Corporations crying about this have only themselves and their price gouging to blame. A person's need to consume actual food infinitely outweighs a corporation's desire for money (which is a made up thing anyway)

“Some may think shoplifting is a petty crime that will get someone a slap on the wrist.” A slap on the wrist seems like a harsh punishment compared to what actually happens. “Retailers are concerned about losing money and are cracking down on theft.” If retailers were so concerned about losing money they would actually let employees stop the theft from happening instead of telling them to cooperate and essentially become complicit.
