I love hearing about your writing process!
  • See the wins. Take the wins. Also, ❤the Friends references. I've hit a point in my life Friends jokes, quotes, and situations are appliable everywhere I look!
  • @acwilson4714
I've gotten a lot of book recs from you. I appreciate your thoughts on suspense/mystery. :)

Sometimes I feel like you are me living an alternate life. Lol! I loved “Sometimes I feel like I am the universe’s cat toy and it just bats me all over the place”. I couldn’t have said it better. Here’s to endurance in dodging that paw! 📚 💜
  • I have to tell you I really needed to hear you talk all about this! We are the same age, and even though I have a different life than yours, I am feeling so many of the same things you are. Thanks for expressing yourself! I am taking what you said about pivoting and being mindful. No need to beat ourselves up if every goal isn't met. We are doing such a good job!! On a lighter note- I am a big 90210 fan! Did you see Jennie Garth is starting a podcast?? And I will definitely check out Wildcards! 😊

My goal this year was to choose books I thought would be 5 stars. I've had two 5's and two 4's out of 13. I have room for improvement!

Love this update! It was like looking in a mirror ❤ I’m a fellow mood reader, also on the third draft of writing my thriller, trying to be consistent with strength training and also decluttering! We’ve got this 💪
  • Just wanted to say that I love your videos! I always LOL so much and love that you feel comfortable to be just you. Okay, that sounded like an insult, but honestly I meant it as a compliment, lol.
  • @jaynehunter-ar
Love this update! Good luck with your next writing steps.
  • I'm currently writing my first draft of a cozy mystery and really appreciate your candid talk on writing. Thank you!

Fellow mood reader here 🙋🏻‍♀️ No Goals, no Prompts, no TBR, no PRESSURE! Such a joy to read whatever you want, whenever you want ❤

I think that the fact that you have all these things that you know you need to do to get your book done is a very good thing. You know what you are doing. The worst thing is having no idea what to do next, no plan. Step by step is the key. Little chunks to get that elephant down - and a cup of tea is always a good thing.

Q1 - Life wise, my beautiful and devoted dog died on valentines day, she had cancer and had to be put down. I miss her every day. However, my daughter who has a serious heart condition turned 18 this week, something we thought might not happen when she was having open heart surgery at 3 years old. We get along so well and love spending time together. Life is all ups and downs, mostly downs tbh. We've had 15 rotten years and last year I wasn't coping as well as I had been. I went on HRT simply because I was anxious all the time and i'm pleased to report that my anxiety is completely manageable now. Problems can be put into perspective a little more than last year because perimenopause is not going to beat me. You can probably tell that I am trying to balance the negatives with a positive here. Reading wise I decided that after reading 102 books last year I would concentrate on bigger books that go deeper into a story. I have got very into historical fiction and have read some great books this year. My reading count was 18 at the end of March and 22 right now. I am reading The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton and really enjoying it.

I met Amy Tintera of listen for the Lie. She was an established YA Author and then decided to write a thriller. She said it took her over 5 years to get it done.
