summary/explanation: 0:03​ thrushpelt, rosetail, bluefur hang out. Rosetail teases thrushpelt about his crush and bluefur is oblivious 0:19​ blue n thrush bein good friends…..best friends.. 0:22​ kinda a representation of bluefur passing by Thunderclan cats that she could have taken for a mate, but she instead chooses to be with oakheart from riverclan. Thrushpelt is bummed (since this scene is more symbolic, i dont think thrushpelt actually knows who bluefur is mates with, all he knows is that it’s not him) 0:26​ more best friend vibes 0:34​ rosetail teases bluefur abt thrushpelt’s obvious crush on her. Blue feels embarrassed and a lil guilty 0:42​ blue and thrush are on a nice walk! But blue is too wrapped up in her own thoughts between oakheart and thistleclaw and starclan’s prophecy on her shoulders… goosefeather gazes at her knowingly. Thrushpelt knows /something/ is up but what can he do? :( worried lad 0:58​ blue tells thrush abt her kits she had with an unknown father. Thrushpelt offers to be a foster father if that would make it easier for her, the kits, and the clan to believe he was the father. Blue feels grateful but guilty abt not bein able to tell him the truth and sad that oak cant raise the kits with her 1:14​ fun times with the kits!! 1:22​ lil timeskip to leafbare, thrushpelt settles to sleep in the warriors den (bluefur’s anxiety goes unnoticed…) 1:29​ dream sequence time ! thrushpelt dreams of some alternate reality where bluefur does reciprocate his feelings for her. They raise the kits as their biological parents (heyhey fun detail!! All of the features the kits inherited from oakheart are replaced with features that thrushpelt has 👀👀) 1:44​ The dream takes on a colder tone. Bluefur takes no time to spend with thrushpelt, and thrushpelt cries out his heartbreak 1:50​ Thrushpelt wakes, feeling guilty about his dream-outburst and does his best to shake it off. Meanwhile, something’s happened with bluefur….... Oblivious, thrushpelt settles his emotions and reminds himself that bein her friend is vv lovely and goes to bring her and the kits some freshkill 2:09​ but when he arrives at the nursery all he finds is a heartbroken bluefur, no kits, and a hole torn through the nursery wall as if a fox had broken in during the night. 2:15​ thunderclan searches for the kits, but to no avail. Bluefur has been very quiet the whole time and at last breaks down by thrushpelt’s side. Only she knows where she took her two surviving kits last night; to oakheart in riverclan. 2:28​ not too long after, blue is named as deputy. Thistleclaw seethes with anger 2:32​ time skip to when bluestar is the new leader of thunderclan! Thrushpelt is v proud of her !! but despite her new role in the clan she’s still good friends with thrushpelt !!! I love how in his dream, Thrushpelt doesn't fantasize about his own kits with Bluefur, he still sees Mistykit, Stonekit and Mosskit. This shows how much he really did love them as his own.

Thrushpelt is a short king who stands out in a sea of toxic male characters in the series. He gave his life loving and respecting everyone around them, covered for them when needed, not just Bluefur. He was hurt, but he accepted when his apprentice Spottedpaw became a medicine cat without question or complaining. He was a great temporary mentor to Goldenpaw. He stuck up for Bluefur when Sunstar was worried about her and questioned her loyalty to her clan compared to her kits. He didn't even question Bluefur when she needed him the most to lie about who her kits were. And I don't doubt he spent the rest of his life grieving over the loss of them. Never once does he complain when turned down, or when his apprentice changes paths in life. Just pure love, acceptance and support. He was such a memorable cat, a true breath of fresh air for the series. I'd say he'd need his own spinoff story but im sure the Erins would ruin him somehow... She should've made him her deputy, he had all the qualities and would've made an exceptional leader

Can’t stop thinking about the contrast between Thrushpelt’s dream where Bluestar becomes leader and no longer has time for him and the real world where even as leader Bluestar finds the time to talk to him-

"I wake up and you won't be mine" i like how he says that in the happiest voice ever.Thrushpelt knew that Bluefur dosen't have special feelings for him but he still care about her and loves her kits like they were his because even though she rejected him he still sees her as a friend and all they want is to see eachother happy. I love Thrushpelt what a nice guy! His trantum was cute too

The fact that when Thrushpelt was dreaming about bluestar being with him as his mate,he didn't dream about having his own kits but instead was dreaming about all of them being together.This really shows how he thought of himself as the father of the kits.This nearly made me cry.I really need a fanfic of them being happy together with lots of fluff.😭 The artstyle is beautiful as well with how the characters are portrayed and the detail that make the expressions of the cats so clear.

Honestly, I really wish they gave Thrush Pelt more screentime, even at the very end when he died.

wholesome headcanon: mosskit never knew about her dad being oakheart until her death or near it, but she probably seen thrushpelt as a father figure and when thrushpelt died she greeted him because he was her "dad"

I love how Bluefur's face after giving up her kits was illustrated.The way that the grief and guilt and sadness weighs so heavy on her and instead of sobbing she just lets the tears rain down. That stuck with me personally as I have been feeling similar recently. I also love the portrayal of Thrushpelt playing with the kits and desperately searching for them, devastated. I feel like the book glosses over that fact too quickly. This AMV Brought to light all the quiet support and positivity Thrushpelt brings and handles his character flawlessly.

I love the the detail of Trushpelt's and Bluefur's eyes. How Trushpelt's one desire is love symbolised by the hearts, while Bluefur's is the leadership position symbolised by the stars. And how Bluefur's eyes change in Trushpelt's dream to also be hearts and reciprocating his feelings. God and just every time the pupils have a crack whenever something bad happens, BEAUTIFUL!

I think everyone agrees, we either need to see more of him in StarClan or we need a “Thrushpelt’s Decision” or “Thrushpelt’s love” or something, because this good boi is SEVERELY underrated

The fact that he never questioned who the father is and just immediately helps her... He doesn’t get mad that she isn’t into her, just respecting her as a person. He is the OPPOSITE of r/niceguy

After reading Bluestar's Prophecy, this almost made me cry 😭 Thrushpelt is such a sweetheart and I love how he acted like a father toward the kits despite knowing he could never even be with Bluefur he does it anyway, for her because he loves her.

we dont need more bad boys in warriors like "ashfur and Tigerheart" we need more good boys like Thrushpelt

Poor Thrushpelt deserved so much better from the writing... That's not to say he should've ended up with Bluestar (I actually quite like that he didn't) or that Bluestar "owed" him more affection or anything like that; I just feel like the Erin's shoved him into the background and and his character never got any sort of on-screen closure/payoff. I'd love to see a pov novella for him that shows how his relationship w/ bluefur and her kits develops before and after she loses them & becomes leader. The end of bluestar's prophecy makes it sound like their friendship improved greatly after the ordeal. Maybe show him and Bluestar coming to terms with and embracing the platonic bond they share. ((And maybe show him quietly realizing who mistypaw and stonepaw of riverclan are because A) he deserves closure after grieving his heart out for them B) it would show how deeply he's willing to keep Bluestar's secret and C) are we supposed to believe NOBODY in thunderclan managed to figure that out at least once?)) Speaking of Mistystar, why wasn't Thrushpelt at her leadership ceremony? If not to give her a life, he could've shown up alongside greypool or something to greet her... It would have been such a sweet, cathartic show of character for him to literally gift his [basically] daughter another chance at life after living his own thinking she had died
