Metal Detecting: My ENTIRE Collection of STERLING SILVER Dug! | Free Silver Stacking

Published 2021-02-12
My entire collection of sterling silver found metal detecting, minus the sterling silver rings. Silver stacking for free is always fun, unless you count the batteries, gas money and equipment depreciation. Haha. But ultimately, I make revenue from YouTube that exceeds any costs, so all the silver I find is a bonus. I don't sell any of these pieces because I like to collect what I find.

  • I laughed when I watched the footage back and noticed I said I found a palladium silver ring. It was only palladium. I had silver on the brain. Haha. Who wants to see a video of the rings? I have hundreds of them. I am also filming a video using the sonic cleaner while I have all my silver out of storage. :) I also found more sterling silver I forgot about when filming the next video with the ultrasonic cleaner.

Thats a heck of a pile man, I haven’t found a lot of silver honestly, I reckon it’s just the sites I hunt. Be interesting to see the ultrasonic
  • Awesome collection JD ! What makes it better is every piece of silver in that bag has its own history and you have your own story of how you found it. That's the beauti of this hobby. All the best my friend. HH. JOE.
  • I just love your collection of old silver, what treasures you have.

Oh gosh I just have to tell you this it's not really related to the video subject but you mentioned Johnstown Pennsylvania and my mother who died when she was 89 said that her father had two brothers when they came to the United States from Germany. One joined the circus and the other was lost in the Johnstown flood. That always haunted me and I've spent hours looking over death records and everything looking for that person and never a hide nor hair of him to be found. Did you have a great curiosity about that flood as well?

Awesome video JD, would like to see your (dug) silver coins/rings in a video too. Thanks for keeping me entertained through this UK lockdown.

Silver items are always the most interesting and stories finds, cant wait to put together my own treasure chest as I continue detecting.
  • My favorite thing in your finds bag is the bent spoon with the old lady on it.
  • Hi J D. I'm pretty sure the piece with Glen on it is a piece from a WWII "Forget Me Not" bracelet. You can type that in and you will see many different kinds. Last year I found one with 8 links. Luckily they were in pieces in the same hole. It looked to be engraved by hand and had a date of May 1945. I've been detecting 23 years but I like to see all the different things other people find. I also like to get and give info on items that are found and stumping me or others. Nice finds!
  • I dug a knife just like yours but mine was decrapitated from the ground. The knife and inner part is iron and rusted to death but of course the silver handle is clean as day. I love finding solid silver utensils. Makes my year! Excellent grab bag of silver you have there man. Makes me want to go back through all my random trinkets Edit: i just had to add i feel like i remember alot of these videos. So either i have a fantastic memory or youre one of the only detecting tubers i watch.

Wow all your sterling, they are all nice, they all had intricate designs like you said! Your pieces looks old really old and authentic! I like the Victorian 🍴 pieces! Think about medal detecting in San Francisco 🤔 most of the city looks like it's stuck back in time! With Victorian and Mission 🏘️ when I seen that city my jaw dropped!! I bet Pennsylvania it's just like that I'm sure, there is old 🏘️ that it's being an old city! You did really good there and where you live too! Nice Collection and good job digging👍

Awesome video JD I’ve actually found that exact same ElCo silver ID braclet. With a different name of course but that was one of my best finds last year
