If it makes you feel any better, barb, the canon for post fallout 1 is that the rest of Vault 13 is furious the Overseer made you leave, they publicly try and execute him, and then many of them go into the wasteland to try and find you.

Cool playthrough! Thanks for the upload man, I couldn't possibly follow this Fallout saga of yours on twitch due to time restrictions. I hope you going to put here the rest of the Fallout games you play 😊
  • the chats false info almost constantly was really annoying, so im pretty impressed he even finished the game.

You could if beat mother death claw how many times. You just refuse to Stimpak when you get down to 20 hp. You have to have an entire turn just for healing 3 times.

MAN I hope Barb plays New Vegas. My favorite game of all-time.
  • Hey Barb, enjoyed the playthrough, but my god chat was infuriating with the lack of explanations especially in the Military Base. A few things postmortem - If you are playing Fallout 1 or 2, talk to NPCs more. Exhaust their dialogue options!! Alot of the time you spoke to NPCs in this run you sortof asked them one or two things and then ran off, or you straight up ran past them. You'll get alot more lore and alot more guidance on quests through dialogue for sure! - Use weapons you're proficient in. Don't let chat mislead you, if you're going Small Guns, or Energy for example, don't waste time on melee, unarmed, grenades or the other weapon - You kept using Frag Grenades at endgame, but you had some more powerful Plasma Grenades in your BOS Locker at the Brotherhood. Hovering over a weapon when Right Clicking and then left clicking the binoculars gives you a weapon description and also tells you the damage and weight. - Science, Lockpick and Repair are very useful, but you need to mechanically use them each time, which is frustrating, but that's what the game wants. Sometimes the Skilldex can unlock opportunities to improve your skills through computers. - Right Clicking and Hovering over characters often gives a description in the bottom left viewer, if you need to work out who is who, that can help. - Your grenades went away in Cathedral because you "Critically Missed and Dropped your Weapon" the lower your skill with a weapon, the more chance you have of things going wrong. - If you go loud in these games and kill everything, enemy NPCs dialogue changes. Sometimes you can talk your way into places like the Military Base and Cathedral. You got really unlucky with some speech checks during this run, including against Master, who can be talked out of his plan because the Mutants are sterile and he had no clue that was the case. (Can't repopulate the wastes, so his "master race" is a failed experiment) All in all, I loved that you completed this with a one hander build with the 223 pistol, I've never made Small Guns work in this game and always main Energy Weapons! Sorry for the infodump, but hope at least something helps you enjoy the game more. Really glad you dug this game and I hope Fallout 2 is even better for you. It is alot better in terms of breadcrumbing and quest log info! PS: All the best to the family, thanks for these VODs!

Fallout 2 is quite a bit bigger but unfortunately it has fewer talking heads since they rushed it.

Is The Master's voice actor the same guy who voices Long Feng in Avatar, the head of the Dai Lee?
  • @deathraven1380
Dude the game have arun action. If you walk, you won't get away. You walk only when you tryin to sneak. You can change the action to running. If you are trying to run away from the enemy from a random encounter.

Tries to take on Mother Deathclaw at Lvl 8 with a 223. Handgun and no Power Armour and chats like "This game is bullshit" LOL! Also regarding "not having many dialogue options in this game" is due to having low charisma. The options will only show if you have the required stats. This game came out in a time where you had to read the manuals. Fun playthrough to watch but I think choosing the one handed trait at the beginning made the game a lot harder, since nearly everyone misses the Alien Blaster on their first playthrough😂

As someone with 800+ hours in Noita, it saddens me that you dislike it. It’s such a deep game, but it’s super cryptic
