I actually really like 16 star because it’s a quick and simple category with no cutscenes that some one could do to break things up after completing an any% run

6:27 "If a run accidentally does another run, I feel like that run shouldn't be a thing". So the truth has come out a 100% run is the only true speed run. All other speed runs shouldn't be a thing.

The fact that the one category that “should return” is rolling into a wall a hundred times is probably the most speedrunner thing ever.

When I heard "20 Jumps" I thought it was a limit on how many jumps you could do in one run, not just doing 20 jumps. I am disappointed.

Nipple% is an interesting category. It only works because it is funny and short and has something unique to offer because you have to collect 1000 (?) coins very early and no other run does this.

I genuinely love the 16 star catagory its quite unique and it is a little throwback to Super Mario 64. I actually think if this could get worked out a little better it could be a really good catagory. It could replace the Star% But instead of grabbing 1 Star you gotta grab 16 of em

11:12 I actually thought 20 jumps would've been a run where you beat the game and try this occasionally 20 times and then you go to toadette and see if you oy had 20 or less/more jumps and if you have the run is invalid. I don't know why I thought that but, honestly I think it would be cool even if it was a bit too similar to jumpless.

That 20 jumps category was so tense, I was biting my nails it was so close.

100 IP clips is obviously a bad category, however I would argue that categories like it are good for a speed game because it incentivizes and encourages competition around practicing difficult tricks and also helps new runners have a way to build strong practice habits that gauge their progress in a quantifiable way.

I originally thought odyssey percent would be to obtain all of the collectibles and valuables from each kingdom that you can obtain with purple coins through shops. That would honestly he a very good run, but as it stands just entering the odyssey is too easy.

I thought 20 jumps was going to be beating the game with at most 20 jumps, so you have to decide where the best spots are in the game to use your jumps the best

I acutually kinda liked 16star. There are lots of speedruns in games that require having beat the game already !

4:02% common mistake with rookie runners, you also need to beat 1% of the kingdoms (cap) and get 1% of captures.

Honestly I think most of these runs are perfectly fine. We can't really just decide that one meme run like nipple% is okay, but others aren't. It's all just about having fun anyway
