I absolutely LOVED the idea that in order to get to SSJ4 they had to "take a step back" by turning into an Ape, but only after he achieved SSJ2 first. Really was a great idea. I wish they would have kept DGT.

Say what you want about GT, but SSJ4 is one of the coolest transformations. I hope Toriyama will somehow implement it in the future.

When Goku was burning out of Ultra Instinct and he lost control of the Kamehameha for the first time right before Jiren caught him mid air was a nice touch! 👌 It showed how hard it is to be able to control the power of Ultra Instinct.

Personally, in order for SSJ4 to be Canon, It would need to be Broly specific. He's already primal by nature, and thus he would have an easier time controlling the Oozaru form than any other Saiyan with the proper training. Just a quick visit with Shenron to get his tail back (Unless it's beyond his power because of how strong Broly is and how much power could be contained in his Oozaru Transformation) and it's the perfect set up, maybe afterwards the others could achieve it but I feel like Broly deserves it after everything he's gone through in the canon, and it's so fitting in my opinion.
