This cover is glorious, it lets her voice absolutely shine. Thanks to Toby for asking AJ to sing this reinvented cover of his song for his Piano Diaries album. Toby is quoted saying, “Working with Angelina has been nothing short of inspiring. Her ability to channel profound emotion through her voice adds a whole new depth to the song.” They are also working on other songs for AJ. This will be huge for her. Very nice and insightful reaction. The other video of the song on Angelina’s channel has a different feel. In it she is walking the streets of London. It’s the same vocal track as this one but with different, more contemporary instrumentation. The more stripped down instrumentation (just piano and strings) allows one to hear the details in her voice more clearly. FYI, one of Angelina’s songs will appear in the upcoming Netflix movie A Family Affair starring Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron and Kathy Bates. It premieres June 28. In a post about it on Angelina’s IG, Love Don’t Let Me Go is playing in background so that may be the song. It would be interesting to know how this came about. It could be just a snippet of the song that plays in the distance in the movie but it’s still exciting.
