The loyalty they showed to the original style is what made me a supporter. They didn't do the rusty earth tone shit that literally every other sci-fi horror game has done in the last 15 years.

The melee thing is definitely an audio thing. In the previous demo, the hits were really loud and prominent.

i played the original recently and i loved the weapon system and all the variations of ammo. also the walls would have random buttons and interactions and i loved that . plus the UI would tell you what it was. giving the space life.

When it comes to the melee animations, maybe if the weapon stopped mid swing as it ''makes contact'' it would feel more physical. Vermintide nailed it, and it woooorks. (Also sounds)
