an airplane is a moving object, always wear your seat belt. so simple.

I was on a flight once and when the seat belts sign went off the guy next to me took his off while I loosened mine a bit but kept it on. He looked over at me and in a passive aggressive tone said "Nervous flyer huh...". Later on we did hit some bad turbulence, hit an air pocket and the plane dropped like a roller coaster. I watched him launch out of his seat and smack his head on the ceiling. He was OK, but left with a lump on his head. It was hard for me to keep my mouth shut...

I have to appreciate the efforts of the pilots, crews, passengers, Myanma and Thai radio control, and Thai emergency response team.

I travel to India from US and of course I wear my seat belt, except when I go to the bathroom. Turbulence is very much part of the journey, especially when we over the Atlantic ocean.

Singapore Airlines is the best in the world. It is an unfortunate incident.
  • @texasproud3332
That’s definitely unfortunate for those people but I would never fly on a plane with out seatbelts doesn’t make sense

Singapore Airlines is one of the world’s safest, that’s why it landed safely!

As a frequent flyer I am blessed to not be in this situation. The fact that everyone (almost) got safely to the ground is testament on the safety of the aircraft and skillful of the pilot. God speed and good recovery for everyone.
  • Unless using the restroom, ALWAYS ALWAYS have your seatbelts fastened securely. Be one with the plane. Also, if traveling overseas far away from home, investing in repatriation insurance is a good idea. Medivac flights from Asia can cost $100,000+.

Who is taking care of their children? This report is really devoid of any investigative reporting.

False title. The family did not speak out, at least on THIS video.

Turbulence is a natural part of flying. It might be rare that it happens but it happens. Just like when you're on a cruise ship and you enter rough seas. It happens, just expect the best and be prepared for the worst

I wonder how many people wh were injured were wearing their seat belts. As the pilots and flight attendants say, always keep your seat belt on. Unless, of course, you need to use the restroom.
  • @rhymereason3449
Why is the most basic fact missing? Was this man and his wife wear their seat belts or did they ignore the advise given at the start of every flight?
  • @Torbikini
I’m curious since it wasn’t mentioned, but were the parents not wearing their seatbelt? It’s absolutely awful hearing about their situation, but I’m wondering how they ended up that way if they were buckled up.
