Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to this episode of “Why the hell is he not president?”
  • @jl535
Shouldn't they be smart enough to figure out the value of equality? Oh wait, rich doesn't mean smart.
  • @apollofn77
bernie you are the most fit person the entire country has to offer in terms of a president. PLEASE run, you could be 100 years old yet still more intellectually equipped than biden and trump put together

Spot on answer and a good question, whether that guy is part of the wealthy young or not. Most of us are not.

Bernie's argument here was mostly a moral one -- we can all live in a better society if we work to make things better instead of focusing on making money. He's 100% right about that, but there's also an economic argument: most wealthy people make their money through investments, not through a high salary, so anything that makes the market go up is good for people who already have money. Markets yield more profits from a larger GDP with people who are feeling positive about the future. Eliminating childhood poverty and providing excellent education means more skilled people in the workforce, meaning more money floating around, meaning a better market.
  • We need to keep bringing up these subjects.Because bernie sanders is the only one that will talk about them

Hooray Bernie! The younger generations are more sympathetic just by being more evolved than us old folks. This is a terrific plan to appeal to the next generation class of wealth giving them a humanitarian perspective - cuz I guarantee their parents and families aren’t giving them that perspective mostly because they can’t since they all grew up in the wealth bubble as well. Help the young wealthy class understand the whole picture - it’s not their fault they don’t but YOU can change that Bernie! You’re on the right track once again! ❤

This is a good human being saying morally sound things.

Bernie is spot on. I would just add that even if you come out of Harvard and enter a lucrative career, your fate can change. The present moment and your immediate future may be very prosperous but change is a constant and not always for the better. Left alone, drugs, crime, and global warming will all worsen. Ask yourself if you want a world that is safe for your children and grandchildren.

Bernie nailed it. Reagan really was the beginning of the end. There are many sensible people who did get a very privileged starts to their lives that are willing to do their part for society as a whole, and sometimes, its good to have a reminder that, if the ship sinks, they are also passengers.
  • @SandiTink
Be the solution. Don’t add to the problem. Thank you, Bernie, for issuing this challenge.
  • @N_Ides
Thank you Bernie for keeping hope alive. I know if it weren’t for the Dems, you’d be leading us out of this mess.
