2002 KX250 Rebuild

2002 KX250 that was purchased from the original owner as a non-running bike.
He ran it bone stock until it gave out on him. Was mainly used to pit around camp before it was parked.
Supposedly he attempted to change the original top end but gave up midway and retightened things back up..
Virtually every piece on this bike is stock but missing the OEM pipe. Was able to source an OEM ‘02 pipe in acceptable condition, haha.
Condition of the bike is very nice, in terms of wear and tear (minimal, except engine), but very dirty and layered in dirt, grease and mud…
Frame rails are in perfect condition with no dings, footpegs are solid with no wobble.
Great base to start a build on.
Bringing it back up to 2002 OEM spec. Using as much original or replaced with OEM parts.

Amazing work! I watched the entire video because I was so hooked. I own a 99 KX250 since practically day 1 and it's been an incredible machine. I've taken great care of it but I may have to get in touch with you sometime to do a nice refresh top to bottom on my engine.

Why Kawasaki stopped making the 2-stroke KX-125/KX-250 is beyond me and the fault of the EPA. If they would bring these back they would sell a metric freight train load of them. Beautiful bike and very classic!
