Steel Ball Run (スティール・ボール・ラン), is the seventh part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Initially serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from January 19, 2004 to October 18, 2004, the part's publication later moved to Ultra Jump, where it was serialized from March 19, 2005 to April 19, 2011.

Set in the U.S. in 1890, the story follows Johnny Joestar, a paraplegic ex-jockey, and Gyro Zeppeli, master in the mystic art of the Spin, as the two compete in the trans-American Steel Ball Run race and uncover its benefactor's sinister motivations. - JoJo's Bizarre Encyclopedia (jojowiki.com/)

Everyone is worried about the horses, but nobody mentions the raptors.
  • @MatterOrNot
i only want part 7 animated to really know how to oficially sing "pizza mozzarella"
  • @LEON-fo6sh
Short: it will take alot of time because it costs a lot to animate horses
  • @Violetix5326
Both Jojolion and Steel Ball Run are my favourite parts,I really want to see them animated!
  • @chapel4
they drew the universe speeding up infinitely i’m sure they can animate a horse guys 😭
  • @VELVETPERSON
I want this to be the most expensive anime in history. I want 500 people to animate Johnny's horse and every hair on its body. I want this anime to be a big celebration in the anime world.
  • @Blessed_Ifrit
Honestly, I just hope they take their time. If they animate part 7, then people will want 8. Then what after that? Wait for part 9 to finish first? I think they should wait until part 9 is near it's mid point, or ending so then the wait between the later parts isn't as large. Either way, I trust David Productions to make the right choice.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of SBR, next year is the 21st anniversary of it in this 21st-century, and 2026 is the year of the Horse which by the end of it on December 1st is the 40th anniversary of the franchise and would be a full 5 years since StoneOcean ended, so we’ll either be getting the SBR anime debut by the end of 2025 leading up to the end of 2026 for the 40th anniversary or on it by the end of 2026 itself, no later than that. TL;DR JoJos part 7: SBR ought to debut between December 1, 2025, and/or December 1, 2026.

I feel like they will do 2 seasons like Stardust. Would fit with Sugar Mountain ending with the "Toast" being in the perfect middle point of the series. It's pretty much made to be the end of the first half.
  • SBR is going to be an extremely high-risk, high-reward project for them. Between the narrative commitment they have to make, the animation challenges, and the sheer length of SBR's story, it will require significant investment on their part. HOWEVER if the risk pays off, they could cash in on something extremely special-- JoJo's anime has gotten so extremely popular and profitable for them, and YET it's wild to think they haven't even animated what is widely considered to be the most popular part in the series. High risk, high reward baby.

Imagine the pressure on the animators of part 7. There are already fan-made openings, themes, trailers and scene adaptations that are amazingly well done. The creators will have to at least match those fan made projects or they will just look bad.

I think a lot of people forget that on my anime, steel ball run is the second most popular manga. It takes a LOT to be up there, and when it was coming out it was steadily number one. We will get that adaptation im sure of it!

Also I'd like to mention that the voice actors for Johnny and Gyro in ASB-ASBR met up late January and early February of this year...soo
  • @skye7184
Sbr is my fav part but honestly seeing jojolion animated would be so good, it has hands down my fav artstyle of any JoJo part
  • @aidanwaller1609
I really, really hope so. It's my favorite part, got theough through some rough times
  • @wakuotaku1511
I will honestly wait like 10 years or more for David Production to cook with SBR, I would hate to see them rushed or crunched when this manga means so much to the fans
  • @Ilovemelonss
If steel ball run ever gets announced they better release a part 5 esque pv, cause I will for sure cry if they did what part 6 did and have pngs flying across the screen.
  • @HedgeThatDamn
There's a part of me that is kind of, expecting an in-between series before Part 7. Like an Eyes of Heaven Adaption. I wanna see SBR animated as much as the next guy but with how, I guess confusing? it might be to anime only fans when we go from a Reset Universe 2011 to an Alternate Universe 1890, even with the amazing Roundabout ED for Part 6 showing that "Everything still happened, only Part 6 was really affected by Pucci's final reset". I'm already expecting a bunch of people to see SBR's Universe as something related to Made in Heaven. So introducing SBR and Jojolion both in an Eyes of Heaven adaption might help ease in the idea of the SBR Universe, it also has interactions between counterparts so that's pretty neato.
