Day 2 is the Southern Pacific 4449 covered as American Freedom Train 4449. 4449 was the western US AFT. While 4449 isn’t in the AFT colors, she is in her daylight orange & white colors. The GS-4 4-8-4 was one of the 3 engines chosen for the AFT trains. 4449 is still active & runs around the northwest. Resides in the Brooklyn Roundhouse in Portland.
