Hi! Thank you for the content. Its super insightful and helps me tremendously. Could you explain why vms with Linux or desktop windows (not window server) do not count into the 'max 2 vms standard windows server' rule? You mentioned that in the video. I've read 'Commercial Licensing reference guide Windows Server 2016 from Microsoft' and it says the following a propos vms: - Standard edition has rights to use two operating system environments (OSEs) and at the end of the document, they give the definition - Operating system environment (OSE) means all or part of an operating system instance, or all or part of a virtual (or otherwise emulated) operating system instance which enables separate machine identity (primary computer name or similar unique identifier) or separate administrative rights, and instances of applications, if any, configured to run on the operating system instance Am I missing something? I will be extremely grateful for your response!

One more question from my side Alex... A propos SQL Server - what happens if SQL Server is installed on hardware and someone wants to license it as virtual cores? Is that accepted by Microsoft? If so, what would that implicate... Maybe we would have to count logical cores etc. Thank you in advance for your help!

i have 16 core windows server 2019 standard open license and currently I'm using that license on 8 core 1 physical server but I'm migrating to VMware Esxi, so how much vm i can create in Esxi with that 16 core server license.
