Something about this version of Uncle Ben struck a cord with me way more. He felt like a real person, an old working man who struggles to communicate with his young nephew, who he loves as a son. Watching him die was heartbreaking.

I don’t understand why people don’t like Andrew Garfield Spider-Man, in my opinion his Spider-Man has the best fight scenes

Watching Flash be the "bigger man" right after Uncle Ben's death is one of the most unnerving perspective shifts; the subtle reference to how Flash uses violence as a coping mechanism as well, his willingness to temporarily be a punching bag to help Peter - it throws we the audience on our head as we realize just how lost Peter has been since his parents' deaths. Combined with the horror film that occasionally shines through in this film, I think the tone and perspective of TASM1 is one of the most fascinating in all of the films.
  • My favorite thing about the Amazing films was Gwen. She and Peter just made for such a more dynamic couple. Peter and MJ were just sad and mopey way too often.

Spider-Man remake: Exists* Uncle Ben: “Ah sh*t, here we go again”

I feel so fucking bad for Andrew. Dude was made to play this role and got screwed by the script. I really hope we see him return in the new Tom Holland Spider-Man movie.
  • One of my favorite little details in this movie is from Flash. He didn't just say he was sorry for Peter after Peter picked him up, he was coming to talk to him, probably to apologize for how he'd treated him before and offer his condolences. And then at the end of the movie, he and Peter are friends. They're talking about hanging out right before Peter waits for Gwen to pass before walking to class.
  • "Apparently Dr. Conners is something of a scientist himself" Ayyyy I got that reference

I love those films just because of the Gwen/Peter relation ship.... so now, obviously, I'm sad.
  • @daneroberts1996
I love when Peter is trying to ask out Gwen and he says a lot of words awkwardly without actually getting to the question, and she’s just smiling adoringly, you can tell she loves that he’s nervous about it and she likes him even more for it

I honestly found this as my favorite spider man movie even after the hate it gets, this is a still good spider man movie. Also the part where Uncle Ben dies, I honestly cried, Andrew Garfield nailed this part is of movie
  • "Weird that nothing about lapdances came up..." That's why I love you dude!
  • @its91x65
Andrew Garfield is my favorite spiderman, he's the most acrobatic spiderman of them all and his quippy personality makes him the best to watch in my opinion. Im just glad after no way home he's finally getting the respect he diserves.
  • @boo_7803
I’ve said it once before and I’ll say it again Garfield does emotion so well, he’s made me cry time and time again
  • @Da_Lampster
That subtle CinemaSins reference was "Amazing". I'm sorry.
  • @AndyGilleand
That credit scene wasn't teasing electro. It was teasing the planned sinister six stuff that had more shown in part 2.
  • @gf1006
I still love this movie, despite the flaws. Flash is great, the “I’m sorry” moment was great. Had the greatest potential of all
  • @hannahh8157
I love how you said that Andrew Garfield looked like Sirius Black, even though he's the universally accepted Remus Lupin fancast.
