Cinematic Orchestra - Arrival of the Birds - Fingerstyle Guitar Cover by James Bartholomew

This is a piece I’ve kept coming back to over the past 3 years or so. It’s one of my favourite pieces of modern film music. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve arranged and rearranged this to get it where I wanted it… Its not super complex, I don't really care about that sort of thing, I just wanted to make something beautiful.

My goodness, James. I'm a guitarist as well and have been playing similar style finger-picking and arrangments, but I don't think I could ever get to your level of timing and BEAUTIFUL subtleties. 1:01 and the 2:00 mark are beautiful. You're strumming w/ your left hand, correct? It's so smooth that no matter how many times I replay it, I still can't seem to notice, strangely enough. You must be self-taught because this comes to you so naturally and this is exactly what you were meant to be doing with your life. Thank you for the gift of inspiration and to help me look inward to refind my natural gifts as well. I look forward to hearing more.

I've heard this song probably hundreds of times (having edited a couple videos to it) and it's still never fails to move me. It just such a beautiful piece. You've really managed to catch the delicacy and gentleness of its sound. Hats off to you man, a stunning performance.
