My great-grandfather, Sebastian Hurtado, is credited as one of the two men in the 19th century in Guatemala who perfected the marimba. On of his sons, my grandfather Celso Hurtado was a marimba virtuoso and had performed at Carnegie Hall in 1947. My earliest memories are seeing my grandfather and father playing duets on the marimba.

Listening to this I am feeling calm , relaxed and energised . No stress , no struggle inside . I feel like my inner force is growing slowly inside of me . I know I will get right where I want to be .

These sounds always take me back to childhood. One memory in particular of me running thru the field, with my summer dress on, hair wild & barefoot. I was so happy. I felt alive.
