I love that Bethesda used "watch the skies, traveler" in Skyrim. When I heard it the first time I peed a little.

Y'know what, I heard this story not long after getting Skyrim on my pc. I was playing it after listening to the story and had a surprised pause moment when a random guard said: "Watch the skies, traveler." It still amuses me when they say it.

One of my favorites. Completely mysterious, no explanation or disappointing 'and then, I murdered my parents and YOU'RE NEXT' silliness. Just a mysterious story with no solution. Choice.

I always liked this story, because its creepy...but not unbelievable and not inherently supernatural. But It has this...weirdness and underlying darkness to it. Still, some things are fucked up though...like Dosbox? Playing Morrowind through Dosbox? That...that doesnt even make sense.

Still amazing hearing “Watch the skies, traveler.” in Skyrim. Yes it’s referring to the dragons in Skyrim, but it can also be seen as an eerie reference/call back to this story.
