I live in Orlando and I have encountered the "I need money" scam repeatedly; in the Walmart parking lot, walking around downtown, at gas stations. I have to give credit to one woman, though. She stood outside of Walmart and asked everyone who passed if her they could give her $20. She didn't even give a reason, just flat out asked for $20, lol!

Hi Jon, thanks to your Youtube videos I had no issues when I travel to NYC. I had done my research about the do's and don'ts, so I had a great holiday back in May.

The biggest scam in NYC is the astronomical prices that you have to pay to live there!

I’m so glad we watched your videos when we came over three weeks ago so we knew what scams to not get caught with. We did get someone trying to hand us the CD twice we said no thank you and they said to us both times don’t be afraid of the black man which wasn’t very nice for them to say which is not the case but we had a brilliant time. Can’t wait to go back.😊

When my husband and I were in NYC last October, we were briefly in Times Square and the infamous "monks" tried to get my husband but because I had watched your videos I had pulled my husband away only for us to run smack into the CD guys and they were a little bit more demanding but again, we shook our heads and told them emphatically that we had no money and then one of the guys had to pull the silly "you're RACIST" on us 🙄 which is very absurd. As for as the "all I need is a little money for a bus ticket to Buffalo" scam, I live in Jacksonville, Florida and we get those all the time. They hang around the churches, gas stations, you name it and they claim they just need a few more coins for the bus station and then the next Sunday or the next time you go to the gas station, the same person is there with the same story asking for money and all we can do is shake our heads. It's sad and yes, we all know that they aren't going to use the money for a bus ticket either. Thank you for the updated scams. Those are good to watch out for.
