The Witcher 3 - Graphics/Rendering/Artifacting Issues??

Published 2016-07-23
SPOLIER ALERT! This contains tiny, tiny bits of quest detail - I have mostly selected clips without much detail into quests, however if you have not started to play The Witcher 3 then I'd suggest not watching.

I am experiencing significant graphical glitches with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on PC. Some of these issues seemed to develop as I progressed in the game. Other issues have been present the whole time. I currently have about 40 hours of gameplay into this game, and at times have wandered all over the world just on my own. None of these issues impact performance too much, they're mostly all just cosmetic issues. Some of these issues however have prevented me from understanding what's going on in some cutscenes. There have been many more issues which I have not included in this video. The issues I experienced in Oxenfurt were by far the worst, significantly impacting gameplay (frame rate dropped to 1-2 fps in one section, and the large boat in the harbor is seriously jacked up looking).

Specs of the PC I'm using:
ASRock Z97 Anniversary ATX LGA1150
Intel Core i5 4960K - not overclocked, stock cooler
16GB DDR3-1600 RAM
EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB Superclocked ACX 2.0 (factory overclock)

  • I am facing the same issue did you find a solution? I by chance manage to fix it by change some settings of the graphic Card, but when I updated to the last version (game and Graphic Card) it comes back, and I do not know how to solve anymore.
