  • A few years ago, as soon as I came back from work, I would turn on my computer and watch a couple of 'latest' videos by Eckhart. The habit was 'compulsive'. An egoic desire to learn and to understand. But, looking back, it seems like it was for a higher purpose. These days, I go even weeks together without watching Eckhart's videos and yet not miss anything. But whenever I get a chance, it gives me immense joy to watch him speak and to be in Presence with him. I find this 'want' to be light, non-compulsive and non-egoic. 🙏🙏

I have seen so much lately about....manifest this or manifest that...and people selling it as part of spiritual practice. So people begin investigating because they want to acquire something material. To me it seems to be the wrong motive for developing spirituality? Maybe I'm wrong, but I believe Eckhart would agree. I've been practicing with Eckhart for 10 years now and I've found that as long as I stay the course, what I truly need will come automatically. It's never what I think it is!! Thank you Mr. Tolle. You have saved my life and continue to do so. Secret admirer. ❤

This woman has asked the most important question about ego and Presence desires. Thank you Eckhart Tolle for answering her question in an excellent way of understanding that issue.❤

Ego is important for survival. The spirit is important for fulfillment. 😊
  • I used to ‘think’ I ‘needed’ stuff. I was always skint in my 20s (though I had food/shelter) I always felt envious of people with families, wealth, boyfriends who took them out etc. I craved expensive makeup, clothing, holidays, alcohol-everything. It’s only now I realise I was NEVER lacking in ANYTHING. I already had the riches I craved, Eckart highlights this in ‘The Power of now’. Dear people, if you have not, PLEASE 🙏read for yourself, it’s free on YouTube, but, you have to keep going back and rereading, when my ego takes over (it does often!) reading or listening to him really helps! Sending love to one and all ✨ ❤

13:10 Desire is egoic phenomenon, out of lack. Creation wants to give out of the fullness within you. Something wants to come out, to be created. Those trapped in the ego does not know what they really look for is fuller versions of themselves, consciousness itself. 🐌🐌🐌🌿🌿🌹🌹 17:30 Egoic manifestation is hampered in its abilities. It also manifests dysfunctions and conflicts. Eventually you realise it does not provide satisfaction. Then you awaken. 💝💝💝💝💝💝💝 Two ways to manifest: Out of neediness (get). Out of fullness of presence (give). Presence flows through the mind to energise your thought structure, no longer dysfunctional. Thanks Eckhart. 12 January 20

Listen to me everyone: we are all restoring the Garden of Eden on the planet by simply filling it with our Light of Consciousness. Time doesn't really matter, but is most important here. We work on this together. This time can simply be shortened thanks to us, by simply shining our Light onto this planet without any agenda ♥️ I believe that soon the Garden of Eden will be restored to this planet.
  • What a great question and what a WONDERFUL answer!❤ So grateful 💓🙏✨✨✨✨

Dear Eckhart. I have complex ptss. Many times i suffer deep terror. Your voice and teachings always give me an inner peace. Thanks alot for that!
  • Creation is wanting to give from the fullness that you sense within you❤Desire implies some kind of lack...Thanks Eckhart!
  • I used to think about LOA but recently I've felt repulsed by it. Not because it didn't work out for me, it did work out. I got much of what I've been looking for, but it's never actually what you're looking for because you can't actually KNOW what you think you want.

The true nature of desire is to co create with the flow of the Universe with good intentions and also to be free of the suffering of the ego which keeps us from a life of happiness. Yet I am consciously aware that our Ego's must be acknowledged as having a significant role to play in our human evolution both individually and collectively. Wherefore, the more people who rise above they're Ego, the less suffering there'll be in our world. Thank you Eckhart.🙏
  • Egoic desire moves toward happiness (which it imagines lies somewhere in the future). Desire rooted in Presence moves from happiness (which it knows as its own infinite reservoir).

Thank you, Eckhart. You’ve taught me what everyone’s real purpose in “life” is, amongst other imperatives lessons. Your teachings are the biggest gift of all. 🙏❤️

Amazing explanation and pretty much exactly as I intuitively saw it as well. I realized this intuitively through meditation and he speaks of basically the same thing - the two types of desire and the difference between them: the desire from Presence, or Life, which is a desire to create and give from fullnesss. Then the desire from ego, which is the desire out of neediness, of wanting to get something to fulfill you (which it ultimately cannot), a desire to basically take.

Such a beautiful explanation about creating from neediness in contrast to creating from fullness
