Railfan Quickie: The Wildlife Express At Disney's Animal Kingdom

Published 2024-01-28
Although somewhat overlooked compared to its more impressive sister railroad at the Magic Kingdom, the Wildlife Express, located at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park, is a fascinating
operation all it's own, running from Harambe Village to Conservation Station at Rafiki's Planet Watch.
The locomotives that run the line are steam outlines, built by Severn-Lamb in Warwickshire, England, seemingly modeled after British Import locomotives to Africa.

While I didn't think the Wildlife Express really needed a full video, I wanted to highlight this unique operation, and shed some light on it. And so, sit back, relax, and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Wildlife Express at Disney's Animal Kingdom!

I actually enjoy riding this train quite a lot, even though these aren’t actual steam locomotives.
