Brandy is like “2000s teens Hollister” just for 2010s teens

So another Abercrombie & Fitch got it.

This feels like Groundhog Day! How often are we going to hear the same story, over and over again, until people learn!?
  • @SoccerDua
It’s actually a great documentary for the sole purpose of it shows where “donated” and thrown away clothing ends up in Ghana. It’s heartbreaking.

The reason why this story is so repetitive (per a lot of comments posted) is because we don’t demand with our dollar for better quality, sustainable garments. The fashion industry as a whole is “fast” — even the top luxury brands move trendy items out. It’s a business built on capitalism, not sustainability.

They seem to only sell basics.... like just plain tanks and skirts, shorts, etc. I don't see what the obsession was

i was so excited for this doc but now not so much it seems quite repetitive. we see this in fashion everywhere

I'm so out of touch. My dumb self thought the lady from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills owned this company (Brandy Glanville).

As a member of Gen Z, I never bought from Brandy Melville. Never really cared about it honestly. I think a lot of stuff that gets social media hype doesn't always touch the normal person.

I’m not a petite, skinny white girl — so Brandy Melville never appealed to me at all. Never got into it.

I walked into their Santa Monica store in my early 20s. Saw a huge line in front of their store in Toronto last month.

This is such a weird topic and tone for this discussion like...Brandy Melville is not the first to be size exclusive and push a body image "ideal" within their brand. They are not special for being part of fast fashion or for taking advantage of employees. Out of every exploitative brand I just feel like it's weird to focus on Brandy as some evil cult company when you have Shein, Temu, old Abercrombie, and hosts of other brands doing the same thing.
  • I did a speech in 8th grade about the problems with Brandy Melville

I’m a size medium and once I walked into the store and I felt so judged 😭 never came back
