Thank you crowdstrike for likely giving many non IT people a 3 day weekend .
  • Why is the world dependent on one IT operating system .... in the hands of one source, it's a disaster waiting to happen...diversify

Everything I've come to expect from mainstream media... completely wrong analysis, blaming Microsoft for a Crowdstrike disaster

I'm a supervisor for NYC subways. We are running, but we are having the same issues everyone else is. We have to clock our trains manually, old school style. Stay safe everyone ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ

As an IT professional, i just want to point out. In the last couple of weeks, microsoft OS and apps have been super buggy and laggy. They had a database update issue with azure that created a huge outage in my region and claimed to have fixed the issue, when my customers are still having constant crashes and blue screen. And now.. this happens. I feel like Microsoft is trying to shift their blame, it's their responsibility to manage third party contractors, ensuring thorough checks are done before updating or transferring data. It's all about profit nowadays..

It is not Microsoft Outage. it is caused by CrowdStrike falcon sensor, installed in many Windows computers around the world. it is an over smart antivirus. Stop blaming Microsoft.

First thing Iโ€™m thinking is this sounds like a cyber attack. My hospital just went through this. It was awful.

Thatโ€™s ๐Ÿ˜œ! Nice Wake Up Call! What A Way To Kick Off Freaky Friday! ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ˜ฑ
  • Why are they all saying it's a Microsoft outage when it's Crowdstrike
  • @mcm6341
It has affected students dramatically. Especially those with exams and assignments worldwide ๐ŸŒ

Why the heck use Microsoft for mission critical systems? Are they really an engineering company? Crowdstrike are going to lose a lot of money over this.
  • @Fuzzy-_-Logic
I am watching this via my Linux computer. I used to be in Network Admin for Windows Servers.
  • The root cause of this outage is actually from Crowdstrike, not a Microsoft update. Turns out, they bungled the update of their falcon sensor, and it's stuck in a boot loop which is what is causing the outage.
