Watching their fans lose their minds over this is so satisfying and shows how little they actually care about their favorite wrestlers well being.
-
AEW getting rules, is like Brian Cage getting tested for steroids. We’re way past that point
-
No bleeding unless your allowed or told to? Well that’s Moxley’s career over haha

"Sports based product" - Tony Khan 2019
-
This is obviously someone at Warner Brothers Discovery who went "look if you want to stay on our networks, there's some guidelines you're going to have to follow" because theres NO FUCKING WAY Tony Khan came up with this 😂
-
A lot of this is overused in AEW, to the point where most of it's lost its impact. Calming shit down might make certain spots seem more important/ devastating if they're not beaten to death.
-
Moxley can’t bleed anymore? “Oh the horror!” 😂

I worked at an indie in NC that was open about having a "rule book". Even had the rules posted on their website, so the local fans would know. Promoter was strict about it, too... Saw a brother break one of the rules, without clearing it with the booker & when he got back thru the curtain, the promoter cut a promo on him for 20min before shit canning him on the spot. The Cowboy would be proud, as JR would say... Damn I miss old school pro wrestling.

Just wait and see: Chris Jericho,Kenny, Buckaroos and Moxley will disrespect the list in every match, because they are immune.

It's like a bunch of lawyers got together and put Dusty's "Don't do sh*t you don't know how to do." into legal-ese.
-
This was REALLY enlightening. He has been letting everyone do whatever they've wanted for almost four years. Jericho, Moxley, Omega, the Bucks, etc. have all been telling him that he needs to give everyone "creative freedom" and he's let the company run away from him. Now it's catching up to him. I'll bet that the network is cracking down on it right before they renew them. Wow.

AEW tries so hard to not be WWE that it forgets WWE still does a lot of things right.
-
Every single rule has an incident behind it that Jim and Brian have talked about lmao
-
I like that he actively included skewers in a list of banned weapons, because that never would've been in anyone's list of wrestling weapons until one guy's dumb idea for a spot...
-
Pretty sure someone at the network probably decided to finally sit down and actually watch a full episode or two to see what they were putting on their TV. That would also explain why the list goes a bit overboard with the restrictions. They probably panicked after seeing the product and wanted to make damn sure they covered all the bases.

I can see moxley thinking he is so tough and intentionally breaking the rules because he's BADASS and a RULE BREAKER
-
I love how the "Rules and regulations" came out the week before Blood & Guts, but we also know that these rules won't apply to the EVPS, Jericho, or Moxley. Hell, one of the rules says to cut back on bleeding. It's also embarrassing that these rules came out 4 years after the company has seen multiple injuries and potential lawsuits. These all should have been enforced on Day 1. We will see how strickly they are enforced and who the apply to, but this is a strip in the right direction. Of course, many AEW diehard are losing their minds because "Oh No AEW is becoming more like WWE with its boring rules." Dumbass this si for the safety of the talent so they can continue to give you the Indie Outlaw stuff you crave.

Here's what I got from that statement. When you look at the list of agents in AEW, you legitimately have some of the best minds out there. I have a hard time believing that Dean Malenko or Arn Anderson would approve the matches we have been seeing in AEW. It is clear that the wrestlers are not listening, as Billy Gunn, JR, and others have said in various interviews. It sounds like the purpose of the list is to tell the wrestlers to start listening to the agents. For once, Tony is trying to lead. He is essentially telling the wrestlers that there will be consequences if they do not listen to the agents. He is trying to give the agents some authority so that they can institute some quality control. We'll see if he follows through.

This sounds more like a lawsuit list more than a banned spots list.
