💯💯 💯Absolutely amazing video. We're honored to see that you were inspired by our game. We may be reaching out to you soon.
  • @2ARM2
Having already watched this video 861 times i can confirm this is a Fat Dino classic.
  • @gazzalifahim
The way you are describing your implementations, it makes sounding it like "It's just so easy to make. Just chill and make". But deep down, I know you did a hell lot of a job! Hats off, Man!!
  • the "2nd life" only applies for small obstacles, such as trying to change direction on a straight path, getting too close to the ledge(this ledge 9:03) and tripping over short obstacle (such as the protruding tree root you showed in the video). for smashing into a wall, jumping into a hole, not ducking under the pillar, all of these are instant deaths

Watching a fat dino video gives me the same feeling of watching Bob Ross paint. It is just so quiet and calming
  • The lag spikes were probably caused due to the number of lamps in the scene. I don't do unreal, but I do 3d animation, modelling, etc. Try your best to limit the amount of light bounces.
  • This is amazing. The running animation seems slow for the speed at which he's running. I'd maybe make that animation faster. It will also add more tension because it will seem more frantic
  • @AdnanAwes
So calming to hear Dino's talking while developing the game.

This is impressive! Temple Run has always been a favourite classic of mine, and you nailed by unreal-izing it! (Kinda miss the slide animation though, instead of just a roll, but it's fine)

Fans: Are you guys ever gonna make Temple Run 3? Game Devs: NO I DON'T THINK I WILL Fat Dino: FINE I'LL DO IT MYSELF
  • @neelkumar3001
Honestly when I was a kid I imagined how these chunks just spawn infinitely, and you just revealed the secret. Though just watching the video destroyed my laptop :)
  • @baboowam23
The amount of time and effort you put in your every project is commendable.
  • LETS GO!! I've been waiting forever for a super Pog fat dino video!
  • Whoa! I didn't expect such great story telling in a game making video :)
  • @8bitbunnie936
glad you're still makin' videos! We need these "Rtx" remakes!
  • @yagelbar
As already commented, the "2nd life" via collision are only done when interacting with small obstacles. others are instant deaths (varied and funny-annoying deaths). But the "2nd life" also has an important game mechanics: The game gets gradually faster and faster as the run mileage grows. Hitting small obstacles (even on purpose) will instantly reduce the run speed of the player, allowing for more control.
  • HOLY HELL THATS GREAT! I hope you go on to work on one of these games officially, cause this is exactly what I’d have wanted temple run to look like when I was a kid.
  • @Dasneezequeen
Aaaah this looks amazing! You did such a great job, and I love the assets you chose.
