I actually can’t visualize things. I always thought I was broken. I did eventually discover that I can ‘sense’ quite easily. If I’m meditating, I can sense where I am, I can feel, smell and hear the forest I’m in in my meditations. I can sense my intent and it actually works so well! I’m glad you’re talking about it!

I just found out that I have Aphantasia. I can't see with a mind's eye. So visualization in a traditional way is completely out of the question for me. So I am so glad you are covering this. I'm still very much learning how to go about it and learn to he the witch I want to be. I was so excited for you book but now I can't wait!

I agree that believing that a spell will work on some level is absolutely essential. As far as intention, releasing a strong emotion is better than a weak one. Finally, I have almost always had success with incantations put to rhyme. I'm don't consider myself to be a gifted poet, but anyone can make up a little ditty for a spell. I was listening to this while lying down outside enjoying nature, which was not something I’d done in a long time and being in FL I was complete surrounded by birds. I then noticed about three birds high high way up in the sky (larger birds) and I playfully imagined being about to bring one of those birds to me with my intent (not something I do often either). Next thing I know there’s a HAWK outside my door! Just waiting on a trellis, and it was just perched almost like protecting. It also had another meaning for me in terms of an animal totem.
