Directed by Academy Award Winner Taika Waititi (Jojo Rabbit, Thor: Ragnarok), NEXT GOAL WINS follows the American Samoa soccer team, infamous for their brutal 31-0 FIFA loss in 2001. With the World Cup Qualifiers approaching, the team hires down-on-his-luck, maverick coach Thomas Rongen (Michael Fassbender) hoping he will turn the world’s worst soccer team around in this heartfelt underdog comedy.

    I cry every time I hear that line “They’re our flowers. Be a pretty dull world without them”. As a transgender woman who also happens to be a reasonably decent soccer player Jaiyah is such an icon & an inspiration.

    Saw this a few days ago, it was good, not gonna lie and say it’s a great movie I’d rate it 6/10 from an objective pov but personally I loved it especially as a Samoan, I felt they did a good job in depicting the Samoan lifestyle.

    The movie was great, and very uplifting. Kaimana seems like a really nice person, she is beautiful. It's unfortunate she will never see my post, but I wish her all the best she deserves everything.
