I'm familiar with that information. My understanding is that you do get this 'x2' back after 45 days. After 45 days you can either use the funds or tell your transfer agent (bank or broker) to transfer the 'extra-thank-you-for-not-being-an-enemy-of-the-state' amount, into the Treasury's secondary market, since it is now securitized, as per your initial deposit into your TDA account.

those people say you have to wait 45 days for the amount to double

Thank You, very concise and clear- so when I called TDA about the Direct Deposit program- they said you could not take it out immediately but have to wait 45 days before withdrawing- no mention of the amount doubling. Is that true or is there any way to access your funds immediately? The gentleman I was talking to was not the easiest person to talk to 😅or comprehend.

What about buying a savings bond right away? Tameka says something about putting $25 in right away. Do you know how that works?

online instructions say to add a "P" at the end of the account number

Greetings! Is this your payroll direct deposit? TDA has a alphabet letter in front of the account. Did you give your employer the letter in front of your tda account #?
