Steve/AOC actually said something useful in this video, and he's right about the wiring on the air handler. How is anyone going to remember which of the 25 wires goes where when rapidly assembling that? Or how about the 14 wires on the B-pillar board. It is a bad design with failure being a certainty. Exposed wiring with a single crimp connection will fail. Even if they paint some sort of coating over the whole thing, it will fail. As for the drivetrain, I doubt they even have an example of what they are going to use at the so-called factory. They don't have completed wiring, a chassis, or anything else that appears to be done.

it is unfortunate that mostly when the Aptera team speaks publicly they conversate like politicians, and are overly optimistic.

He didn't answer the question about the drive train - they don't have it worked out. The freeze frame of Chris there at 7:03 says it all.

Note: crimped wire connectors on all circuit boards he says its a new method.........unbelievable.........its not used because its bad connection for durability and reliability Imagine canbus messages or similar via crimped connectors, will all be recalled if they ever built it like that

The air handler was a big hit. What do you have in the way of drive trains?

The key about the motors is during an interview on August 31st 2023 Sandy Munro stated very clearly that Aptera had moved away from hub motors. So they have had over ten months to make public their new solution and have not. The question comes down to, powering both front wheels with one inboard motor or a rear drive only setup using a belt to power the rear wheel like Polaris does with the Slingshot. I see no means for that air handler passing air around the screen to adequately heat and cool the cabin. The wiring examples all look like High School Science Fair type work. I was laughing at the stickers because at no time did they indicate they had any of the components the stickers represented. Humidity always finds a way and unless sealed no amount of coating will last. As for the background people, we have no verification they are full time employees and not just temps there to make it look busy.
