Thanks for watching, I hope you enjoyed this breakfast video. We'll definitely have videos for Zaatar, Fatayer, Khaleyat Nahl and Helba coming soon. Let me know what breakfast you want to see next, and if you have specific breakfast dishes you want to request! Also if you haven't checked out our patreon yet, you can support the channel and help us produce better content! We're hoping to film some on location videos in the new year, so your support will definitely help us with that.

My ex-husband is Palestinian and I lived with his family for a while. His mom had a garden and made everything from scratch. I often crave her cooking and miss eating at their home. The food during Ramadan was just mouthwatering. The first thing she taught me was how to make mint tea, it was extremely important to her ☺️ she is such a sweet woman! He and I divorced on good terms but I don’t live near them anymore so I decided to start making the food myself. I can’t wait—this looks delicious. We ate a lot of these dishes.
  • This brings back so many memories. I must admit I cried a little tear thinking about my aunt living in the West Bank when she would take me walking on the mountains collecting zaatar. As a boy growing up in Northern Europe those memories will always stay with me and I cant wait to see them again. Thank you for making this video ❤️

I hope you will continue talking and showing us about Palestina food to keep the Palestine culture and way of life alive. Well done. I can’t wait to try the recipes
  • @tntmoz
I pray all Palestinians are able to eat well again, and live free!

I’m Mexican and we make potato and eggs the same way! We put them on a flour tortillas with green sauce or with beans on the side. Love your recipes! God bless Palestine 🇵🇸

As an Indian i love watching breakfasts from other countries - I get so much joy from it 😊
  • As a Palestinian I'm moved 🥰. So good to see our cuisine represented like this by awesome creators. Some of these unlocked some childhood memories 🤣. Love the channel, keep up the awesome work guys. 👏
  • @nnn70
When she said “her father used to get them Manaqiesh every morning” I felt that❤️❤️❤️ cause my late father used to do this most days.
  • @stargazin5201
Thank you Obi and Salma, I love the wholesome representation that you guys create through this channel. As a Palestinian, it’s especially heartwarming that you are paying homage to our cuisine and history. I recently lost my teta and watching this made me feel so close to her. To some this channel may simply offer just recipes, to other it offers representation, nostalgia, peace and happiness ❤️

Moments like 9:50 when you proclaim not having nailed a recipe is why I respect this channel immensely. Other content creators in the same situation would have put up their shitty version anyway or even claimed the bakery-bought product as their own.
  • Definitely going give this one a shot for my partners birthday. Would love to see an Iranian Breakfast
  • @JazzMasoud
Missing my grandma's and auntie's cooking. Thanks for creating this.
  • @ViolinTreelet
I love this so much. So much nostalgia. Growing up, we always had a bowl of olive oil and another bowl of zaatar sitting on the kitchen table for everyone to snack on throughout the day. If you want to try Palestinian falafel, my grandma in Gaza used to make me the best falafel I've ever had. They're stuffed with onions and sumac, and we Gazans also like to add chillies to the mix. Some cook the onion stuffing beforehand some don't. I believe the sumac and onion stuffing is also eaten in Jerusalem.

This episode reminded me of something. When I was a child, there was a Turkish bakery down the street where I lived. It was totally unique for my Middle European city and for the time. I loved it. I especially loved the sesame bread rings and the flatbread. My mother loved the baklava and the quality of the olives they had. I remember the whole street smelling wonderful, because of this bakery. It was so disappointing when they closed. To this day Turkish Bakeries (there are so many now!) are a guilty pleasure that I can't resist.

Lovely to see Salma on screen, I know she puts in a lot of work off screen, but still brought a smile to my face. I love how your channel covers cuisines across so many cultures. Thank you, guys!
  • @sassygrammy1258
I love Palestinian food—privileged to go there many times. Sage tea is supposed to help with headache and upset stomach.
  • @Widelca
Yo. You guys are great. I'm a huge fan of middle-eastern food and you two are wonderful and delightful and have helped make my breakfasts and dinners wonderful and delightful as well. Keep these videos coming :) Thank you so much :)
