I can 100% confirm some of the BEST recipes I've EVER had were from church cook books
  • @ruthfields3874
I started making brown sugar and powdered sugar 3 yrs ago when the price went from 99cents to 4 dollars. Its so easy to make and last forever. I put jumbo marshmellows in my brown sugar to keep it from lumping up. Thank you for video

Thank you for doing a homemade restocking video. Its refreshing to see people sharing valuable life skills.

We don't even cut round biscuits anymore. Pat it out into a square and use a knife or a bench scraper to cut it into pieces, then bake. No scraps to have to reform.

Your yellow tupperware sugar bowl made my heart skip a beat. Brought back good memories of my Grandfather.

We have food allergies in our family that eliminate most commercial foods. For a family of 5, I made basic staple mixes in bulk. Biscuit/pancake mix using 10 lbs of flour, 6 loaves worth of bread mix 11:57, basic cookie base, cake mixes, brownie mix, seasonings etc. Never did brown sugar and some of your others - I will be in the future.

I'm a homesteader (in my head). I love this type of stuff. I'm sitting here mad as hell right now because I had to pay the light bill opposed to buying that top of the line dehydrator that I ve had my eye on😂

I’m a pretty frugal creative gal and have seen a lot of mix prep. Brown sugar was a new one and somewhere along the way I forgot about coffee creamer. Thanks for the new tip & memory jog!! You’ve got one lucky family!

I have been making my own brown sugar for a long time I make it just as you do and it definitely turns out amazing! I also make my own vanilla with some very cheap vodka and vanilla beans. I put them in a mason jar. Shake it up and wait 6 to 8 weeks.

Great video!! Thank you for also putting the ingredients for each one in the description box below.

When you were talking about biscuits, I thought back to watching my mother do them. She would make a well in the flour bin with the back of her hand, take a handful (she never measured anything!) of lard and throw it in, a little baking powder and salt (why she threw a little salt over her shoulder, I never understood), and water (we couldn't afford milk or buttermilk unless it was the powdered junk that came in commodities). She would squeeze that mix with her fingers until it turned into a ball, then pinch off a little and roll it in her hands, throw it on the pan and pat the back of three fingers into the top to mash it down a little. I've tried to do it her way after I grew up but could never quite match it. I guess cooking for 8 kids on a VERY limited budget made her a pro. LOL

Your voice is soooooo peaceful! I was almost calm! 😂 I'm a new subscriber for your channel. It's hard to impress me anymore BUT your beautiful food did! I can tell by the ingredients you used that you're known for your delicious cooking! 😊 I like how you improved on common recipes. I can't wait to try the rustic bread! Looking forward to seeing more from you!
  • I put ranch dressing mix on popcorn. The flavor is amazing and fewer calories than butter and salt.

I use painter’s or masking tape to mark jars. It comes off easy when done.

Love, love, love these! I used to make mixes (basic cookie mix, etc.) 49 years ago when I was selling Tupperware. I’m so glad to get this refresher with so many new recipes to try! Thank you and God bless.
  • This is one of the best videos I have seen on the internet I can use ALL of these recipes and ideas! Thank you, I will be watching this video and your other videos often.

I have been making sweetened condensed milk for 30 years. It real easy with a food processor and a lot cheaper than buying it.
  • @wardrobelion
My favorite cookbook is the older versions of Joy Of Cooking. I used to just sit and read it like a kitchen bible😊. Great source of knowledge. Thanks for sharing your instant mixes with us. After my children moved out I quit cooking and preparing anything since it was just me…after 7 years, I’m finally preparing foods again and cooking, though, it’s almost impossible to cook for one🙄🤣🤷‍♀️…
  • Love making my own stuff too. Totally wish I would have started years ago. SO MUCH BETTER!! We do taco, chili, ranch, brownie mix & brown sugar. Started doing bread items. Doing great with biscuits & tortillas but haven't got the bread just right yet. Work in progress. Lol. Thanks for all the ideas.
