Speaking of nerdy pets, I was recently adopted by a stray cat that was roaming my neighborhood...she walked into my house and wouldn't leave, so I feed her and she sleeps with me now, she is an all black kitty with yellow eyes, and her name is now Rhaenyra the black queen

30:02 I just wanted to point that Criston Cole does place the crown on Aegon’s head. If you rewatch the scene: the septon hands the crown to Criston, we see him approach Aegon, who is knelt, and then there’s a close-up shot of the crown being placed on Aegon’s head. I think because Criston isn’t in the same shot as the one in which Aegon is crowned, the memory of it being him doesn’t stick, particularly because the septon and Otto speak so clearly.

Great stream! Regarding the discussion of Aemond/Helaena near the end I think it is a better story for them not to be together BECAUSE they are clearly a much better match than Aegon and Helaena. For medieval nobles it’s rare to end up with someone they’re actually suited to. Also Aemond might not be a “better person” but he is absolutely a better person for Helaena. Sure he commits attrocties, but he cares about his sister.
