From Pretoria South Africa.. How wonderful to share hearts with unknown friends. The Lord bless each one. 🙏

When I was three or four years old I already liked Schubert and Chopin music. Now eighty years later I have discovered many composers along the way. You, Halidon, have brought many of my favorite music...Thank you.
  • You have to wonder. It's more than notes on a scale. And, there are only a few composers that truly embrace, our heart and soul. I have a theory...these men and women are Angels on loan; God's way of letting us know, we are His beloved children and each note is a tap on our shoulder, with God saying, Be Loving And Good To One Another.

This is really healing. I had a rough upbringing, but I remember memories of me listening to classical music and jazz music in the living room. It would always take me away from the things going on at home. Now as I listen to this I cry because it makes me think back to my innocence. To the times when I was oblivious and joyful, mourning my innocence being lost. However, this can help me get back to that place of serenity with my inner child to do some much needed healing. Thank you for this.

Classical music reminds me of my past. Running in the grass, climbing the trees And it takes me to other lands. I watch the beautiful lake view in the hammock, hills, snowy mountains take me here.

Imagine what it must have been like to attend a concert of any of these pieces, 200 or more years ago, when it would have been the ONLY way to hear such beautiful music. Today, we can hear music at any time of the day or night, at home, in the car, while we are jogging, and thus is the experience greatly diluted. Just try to imagine hearing these pieces in a concert, for the first ( and probably last) time in your life!
  • These beautiful pieces of music bring me into communion with my sweet mother who passed in 2013. She was a child prodigy and began playing the piano at the age of 3. When she was 9 and 10 she would play for weddings, funerals, with many groups, corals, choirs, and other gifted musicians. Mom attended Julliard in New York, then graduated and taught there as well. Her love of classical music I'm grateful to say, she blessed our home with thru my youth and childhood. I remember so many of her students who would file thru her piano studio weekly. Some with beautiful talents as rich as my mothers. Others with just a love and desire to learn. I will always be grateful for the blessings of music. They bring every emotion to life. They soothe my soul when I need them, bring me to laugh, to cry, to joy, to sorrow. Whatever I may need I find in music. Whenever I miss and just need my mom, I can find her waiting for me in a beautiful piece of music.
  • Cozied up in bed reading a good book and listening to this beautiful 🎵🎶 ahhhh 😌 what a blessed day
  • The passing of my father today reminded me of my desire to experience classical music more in my every day. Listening with gratitude 🙏

Every once in a while you have to come back here, take a taste again from this nectar to remind you how little we are and how beautiful we can be. Modern music can make you forget that.

I randomly selected this selection of classical not knowing its contents. The very FIRST piece is Adagio For Strings! My father played this on pipe organ many times. He passed away 1/30/19. I immediately thought in my mind, “are you with me?” There are some who don’t believe spiritually about such things. It may be a fantasy in my mind but I believe those who you loved and have passed are present at times. Maybe it’s a reassurance they are still with you. I miss both my parents. I had much more time with dad and it brought us closer. May all who have lost someone dead know they are at piece. They are always with you as you carry them in your heart.

HalidonMusic, thank you! Thank you! I've been obsessed for the last 4 years with just a few notes from a symphony and I couldn't remember the composer. It has eluded me until today when it came on here. It just happened that I was in the room at the exact same moment. It was Beethoven's No 7 Allegretto! Finally my mind is at peace.

I'm overwhelmed how beautiful this compilation is I'm experiencing tears of happiness.. thank you God for inspiring the people who wrote this music and who perform it and who posted it!

The most sensative version of Adagio for Strings. It helps that this a relatively small ensemble not the collosal ones one usually hears. Less is more.
  • If you are reading this, I hope you know you are special and capable of creating amazing things. Wish you lots of health, peace and success 💙💛💙💛

although my favorite genres of music are rock and metal i have developed a soft spot for classical music as of lately, a good friend who I adore sent me some beautiful classical music to listen to because I mentioned that I loved Gymnopedie no. 1 and I have become enamored and fascinated by this beautiful music. every day of my life i am on the brink of having a breakdown but this music is so beautiful and so calming. the amount of effort and skill required for this genre is so insanely fascinating. every piece in this compilation is truly a work of art.
