I turned a small, boring nook in my parent's newly renovated basement into a pseudo-office space by building a DIY Floating Desk with hidden storage.

  • I love the mistakes because no on on tv shows those. Love your solutions even more. Keep up the good work.

A potential use for the holes from the hard-ware installation mis-adventure (I do stuff like this all the time) would be to drill holes through and use them for wires or charging cables. If not, it would be a fun project to cut custom plugs and fill the holes. Would be great practice for potential future projects, such as cutting out knot holes or defects out of wood.

Your “stuff-ups” and “workarounds“ are especially appreciated! Thank you for sharing both the guts and glory of the build. Keep up your great content. You have a new subscriber 😉👍🏼

I LOVE this!!! 😍 it looks amazing and so amazingly built! 😃 I have a question tho, do you glue the 2x4's because how it looks? Or is it cheaper than buying the wood on that size? I have no clue and would love to know 😃
  • I loooove it! You nailed it! I love that stain as well! I’m so excited to try this one day! I did ours and really wish I did a hidden storage feature. What was the height from floor to bottom that you chose? I love you!🤘🏻

  • I want to learn make projects like this. Maybe someday when I have my own materials, I can make my own version of arcade cabinet
  • If I don't have the tools to screw in the supports the way you have, i.e. putting the screws in at an angle after the back support is already on the wall, should I screw the supports into the length of wood along the back before attaching it to the wall?

Stumbled upon your video and absolutely loved it. May I ask what color of Danish oil did you use?
