Guys, can we talk about the story behind this song ? A French singer known as Gims (or Maitre Gims) was working on a new album in 2014-2015. He was lookining for a new melody and started singing with some “Ayayayaye”s. All the staff was like “it gives some Sia’s vibes” and he sent it to her. Sia got the instrumental, went to the studio and sang her “Ayayayayes” the next day. the chorus of “Je te pardonne” by Gims ft Sia (= I forgive you in French) was born. Sia asked for keeping the rights on the song to make her own version for a new album. In 2024, 9 years after, Sia released “I forgive you” :)

Oh please, how Sia was needed again singing like that, with her essence, with that feeling that makes your skin crawl! ✨
