Yeah, just a clickbait title. A lot of people, including me, basically have the same view of Musk. He's someone to be admired: he works extremely hard at things he believes will make the world a better place - and, he's a genius.

I actually agree with Trumps position on this. Government shouldn't subsidize either industry. Government should implement fair market rules and let the people decide what they want.

Americans must have free choice as much as they must have free speech. When a government tries to dictate its demands, we are in trouble. We do not serve the government; they serve us. Read the constitution.

If you listen closely to what he's saying and how he says it, long enough and don't buy in to the narrative of the media. You'll soon figure out that: Elon is not only smart but is interested in and knows far more than just business or technical design. He reads a lot and listen to a bunch of podcasts about history, psychology, politics, physics and much more. -His motives stretches far further than his own life. He knows that his life is finite and wants to use it to further humankind. -He is one of the deepest thinkers of our time. -His motivation stems from a deep desire to make the positive things from sy-fy come true because he finds it exciting but he also fears the possibility of negative things that humanity could face. Even the stagnation of technological development. I'm automatically sceptical of people's motives, especially if they are rich. Because most of them are mostly interested in furthering their own interests. But Elon is far different from most of them, maybe because he has aspergers. The only personal interest he has is that he wants to be remembered for the good he has done. Like the great figures as Henry Ford, Edison, Wright, Bell, Deere and Babbage.

What about nuclear power station. They are as clean as renewable, but much more reliable for base load electric power.

Orange man needs updates, to start with about where Tesla cars for the US market are being made. Tesla cars sold in the US are the most made-in-America cars of all (or do you know of another American car company that is equal or better than Tesla in this respect?).

Society is a purely technical construct, not a political one. It's the scientists and engineers that make your world better, not politicians. There is no Republican or Democratic way to build an A/C for your home, or a battery for your car, or a motor... to purify your water, or manage your waste.. etc. We need ENGINEERS at the helm to ensure public safety. I have a dream that one day the world will wake up from the current nightmare and realize that we are living in a technical reality. We can live in a society that does not require money in order for you to exist. Because our means of production is so efficient that money is no longer relevant as a means of accounting.
