Spot on, I noticed the handshake. When you know that the whole F1 circus is a toy thing for the FIA and they want to choose who wins you understand why Lewis has no time for the master of puppets.

lol I wasn't the only one who noticed when Hamilton blew buddy off. Hamilton didn't even look at him.

MBS oversaw the AD21 post event report and the outcome was not up to par, he also let off RB for breaking the cast cap that all added up to Sir Lewis frustration
  • This will never be over, even If Hamilton forgives him. But i doubt it, Hamilton didn't even shook the Hand of the FIA President on Podium.

MBS is the very worst person to be in that position. It was a political appointment rather than picking the best person for the job.

Hamilton’s awkward handshake with MBS was very similar to Messi’s with Salt Bae who sneaked in and wanted to take a picture with him after winning the 2022 WC.

I notice that also. The handshake was short and you could tell Lewis wasnt feeling it. Who could blame Lewis for that, after all that was the one who could have fixed that situation but did nothing but praise Max at every chance he got.

Abu Dhabi 2021 Lap 52 race engineer message to Latifi: It has to be this lap😮😮😮

you are the first on I have seen talk about this. When I saw that handshake I was like 'oof'. MBS tried to talk to him after he hand shake and Lewis was having none of it

I saw that awkward moment and wondered about it, thanks for explaining the context.
  • @toomuchdebt5669
MBS publicly stated that he wanted to punish Lewis for not attending the Human Error gala in 2022.
  • @ceejfletcher
I remember seeing that and Ben S sullied the moment.
  • @draw1951
Let’s not forget how Hamilton is fighting for human rights and MBS comes from one of the worst countries that violates that basic tenant and I dare say, probably subscribes to that ideology.
  • Not also that, remember his jewellery, Hamilton can’t wear his nose piercing or ear piercing while he drives

First time watcher and subscriber. Love that you caught this as I saw it post race and have wondered why none of the other content creators have mentioned it. They all seem so caught up in getting the same exact news article/video out the soonest. Your content was refreshing!!! Thanks
  • @MrEnagee
FIA are the conservative party of F1. Would of been great if you add screen shots of the moment in your video for those who haven’t seen it

I’m so glad somebody has mentioned this. I 100% noticed it as it happened as well… altho I had an idea that something was going on between them but I thought it was with relation to the fact that he has been pulling strings behind the scenes and somehow fixing the outcome of races or financially manipulating Toto wolf to favour Russell with car set up and stuff…. Among other things like pit stop times… I have heard murmurs that he’s quite racist and didn’t want a black guy (Lewis) taking the title of 8 world championships and being forever known as the greatest world champion of f1 EVER.

Is Mohamed Ben Sulayem popular with anyone in F1? He has had some awkward moments with Christian Horner, accusations of his corruption were not specifically aimed at Hamilton, the allegation against Suzi Wolf were generally criticised, and the spate about jewellery that he did have with Hamilton relatively minor. He took over after Abu Dhabi fiasco, so he wasn't to blame for that, although he didn't do much to put things right either. His response to Red Bull breeching the cost cap was weak and when he has attempted throw his weight around he has firmly been told to get back in his box. Mohamed Ben Sulayem reign as FIA president has been pretty innocuous I doubt Lewis Hamilton has got any more or less respect for him than anyone else up and down the pit lane. Nothing much has improved since he was appointed FIA President.

MBS appears very friendly towards Max. And Alonso. But definitely not to Lewis.
