Variation in Ocarina Sound

Published 2020-05-06
In this video, I decided to talk about the difference between the articulation and overall sounds of certain ocarinas, because I happened to get two ocarinas on very opposite sides of the spectrum.

Both of these ocarinas run around $60 (though the Zelda one comes with a songbook) on stlocarina.com.

The black/gray one is the Nebula in Smoky Gray, and the blue one in the Ceramic Zelda 12-hole.

That is funny. I just found your channel and made some comments on I think you first video, about what you were just talking about on this video. So it sounds like you are doing your homework and have the basic knowledge of music and the Ocarina down pat. Ocarinas are a lot of fun both to collect and to play. I am learning to play a new kind of Ocarina called the Coda EDC and I love it. I was going to mention David to you but you are already there. I am a patron of David’s. LOL Are you on Davids Discord? I am there and there is lots of friendly people there too.🙂
