1985... great times. I was 16, had a crush on a classmate. Today, 35 years later, I'm sitting in front of the PC doing home office while the same girl is sitting in our living room drawing blueprints for work. Married for close to 30 years now. And we both still love Eighties music.
  • This generation will never know what good times we had. Life was simple & beautiful, despite the hard days. playing in the park, rolling in sand & car tyres, tree houses, running thru grass, ice cream on the street, running wt groups of friends to each other's house, crushes, make-up and big hair. My kids will never know this experience...The living years - 80's!!!!!😻💕

I’m 47 and this brings back the best memories of my life. Mom and Dad, riding bikes with the kids in the neighborhood, watching Mtv until very late, sunshine and family parties. Collecting Garbage Pail Kids! Damn that was a beautiful time.
  • I close my eyes and transport myself to that magical time, I was 14 and enjoying life, today much older and in a shit world.

This time has been wonderful. Music brought people together then. I was 13 years old then. I am 52 now and I feel like a child when I listen to this music.
  • The only things that I loved in the 1980’s was the music and the movies. These days to me in 2024 are absolutely way better then the old days. I was born in 1972. I learned everything that I needed to learn about health, financial literacy, education, family relationships, friendships, how to turn a box truck into an apartment or a sprinter van into a room to live in. I love the people that are on YouTube who share there incredible ideas on surviving every detail in life. I learned more from the internet then I’ve ever learned in a class room. I thank you all for that. I’ve never been more happier in my life then being in these times then being in the old days of the 1980’s. A year ago, my doctor told me that I had fatty liver disease and instead of the doctor telling what I needed to cure it with food, he wanted to do more tests on me by doing a colonoscopy and also sticking a tube down my throat and into my stomach as if I was a Ginny pig, well I certainly wasn’t gonna do that. Instead I went on here on YouTube and I did my research and I went out and bought the Breville juicer and juiced carrots, celery, cucumbers, beats, ginger, unions, garlic & spinach on the weekends. Guess what, 4 months later I went and had a blood test done, I no longer have fatty liver disease and I have no detection of any cancer in my body at all. Carrots cure cancer, the beats cured my liver, the unions/garlic/ginger is an antibiotic inflammatory that stops me from getting colds & flu’s. I learned about juicing vegetables from the god father of fitness the late Jack Lalaine. I eat an apple with blueberries as a snack everyday after lunch and I feel absolutely wonderful mentally and physically. In these times I truly love my life.

1985 was the best year of my life I'm in my 50s and live in Japan. I was 14 years old and only listened to Western music. I want to go back to those days

19 years old in 85 and in college. Graduated in 87. Oh how I wish I could visit the 80's again. Best time of my life. Simpler times! What a trip down memory lane!🙌
  • I am 56 today. I live in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. 1985 was awesome in all genres of music: US and British pop and rock, Congolese and African music, French Caribbean, everything. Although there are fine artists in all periods those times were truly unique and will remain in my memory until I die.

53 now, and I still get a tear in my eye when I hear George Michael's soulful Careless Whisper, a song so many can relate to, who have made a mistake and lost someone we love. RIP, George.

Back in the day when we had to wait for it to play on the radio and hit record... and then copy the tape because we play it so much the audio fades... We were grateful for friends with tape-to-tape sound system.

  • 1976-1986 was just awesome. I wish I would've appreciated it more.
