We are also missing the rogue squadron trilogy that was on GameCube. ROTS needs remaster as well. Use your influence to get these!

Did Aspyr actually learn their lesson? A remaster that is seemingly playable and is only $20? I sure hope this is setting a precedent for remasters of slightly more obscure classics and I sure do hope they stay playable and affordable! Here's to a (hopefully) great remaster!

They changed lots of textures, added effects, and added control options, added current screen ratios with added resolution..I see no problem calling this a remaster

Besides the Revenge of the Sith videogame, I would love to see the Clone Wars and the Obi-Wan game remastered. The Obi-Wan game was way before it's time, super underrated, and should not be forgotten as it is.

The second you verified that the controls have been updated, I became even more excited to replay this game!

I had a good feeling Aspyr would do a good job with this one. The only one they botched was the Battlefront Collection. Their remasters of Republic Commando, Jedi Knight 1 & 2, and the Tomb Raider trilogy were very well done imo.

One weird thing about the original is that you could actually move while in first person. You had to hold R2 to go into first person and hold R1 at the same time then use the left stick to move around.

When this first came out I begged my dad to get it for me, back then games like this were hard to find in local stores so he looked for months for me and he eventually got it, stayed up till stupid o'clock playing it before school every night. It has so much nostalgia for me, glad to see it getting a bit of love and opening new players to it 👍

It's the only Mandalorian game ever made...

I hope Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight gets remastered along with Mysteries of the Sith so I can have the entire Jedi Knight trilogy on my Switch

I've been playing this game for as long as it's been out, and the controls have never bothered me. Didn't realize people would harp on it so much when they announced this game

I remember following the paperback “strategy guide” to this game to find all the bounties. There were no YouTube walkthroughs available in 2002 🤣 Great memories!

Gonna have to give this a go and see how the new button layout works - I 100% the Gamecube version back when I was 15 and I just can't imagine firing being bound to the R2. If you can press the A button faster than the pace of holding R2, it's just a straight downgrade and less efficient to blast the baddies. The moving while Z-targeting and the movement for scanning is a godsend, and I didn't see whether it was confirmed scanning slows the action, but if so that's going to make getting all the side bounties so much less of a hassle. Also love they kept some jank like how Meeko in his final cutscene is CLEARLY acting like he's tied up while there's no whipcord present to be tied up by.

Man I wish they bring back the Star Wars revenge of the sith game back, and the Star Wars the clone wars game where you control different tanks and the laat gunship

Aspyr generally do a pretty decent job with their releases sucks that their biggest release was also their worst with the battlefront collection. Hopefully, there will be an article on the development of that someday so we know what went wrong
