What villain should we cover next?
-
To sum it up with Frigga's words: "Always so perceptive, about everyone but yourself"
-
Loki was the only reason I ever even cared about 'Thor' movies. Honestly the most relateable villain ever
-
I'm so glad they gave Tom Hiddleston his own show as Loki. Such a great character and performer.

Something that always stuck with me, and made me sympathize with Loki is taking into consideration all the interactions between Loki and Asgardians outside of his family. He is a Prince, a member of the royal family, and yet in multiple scenes we've seen people -who he technically outranks- openly disrespect him. Thinking about the message that sends... that these people think so little of him that the fact that he is their Prince... doesn't matter to them. There is no way they could've done that to Thor, or Odin, or Frigga. But Loki is, for some reason, not awarded the same respect

Every Odin who praises Loki becomes a variant.
-
First Odin ruined his daughter, filled her mind with war, chaos and obsessed with ruling then he just locked her away. Then almost ruined his son and then adopted a son and told straight to his face that he was "meant to die". Such a great father Odin is 🤦🤦

Actually, in the earliest representation of Loki we have in mythology, Loki is more of a good guy than most other gods. He's always cleaning up after their messes, and the other gods imprisoned his three children (seriously wtf) because of the prophecy of Ragnarok, which of course was ACTUALLY what made them angry enough to cause Ragnarok. Classic case of trying to prevent a prophecy, and accidentally causing it instead. (The three children are Hel, Fenrir, and the world serpent. In the story, Fenrir is actually the most powerful of the three, not Hel) (Hel = Hela btw, they probably made her Odin's daughter because it's a plot that makes more sense in the movie. Also for those who don't know, Fenrir is the big bad wolf that was Hela's pet.)

Now that we have a season 2, this is even more on point than it was 2 years ago.
-
Why does Loki feel like the true and secret “main character” of the marvel universe right now?
-
To be fair, Thor acknowledged that Loki would make a better King.
-
Tom Hiddleston managed to create a wonderful multi layered character, the writers gave him so much to work with and because of his lack of screen time or imagination is taking place is that other characters with more screen time simply can’t provide.

same thoughts here. When I was watching Thor Ragnarok and looking back at Loki's journey, the scene "Perhaps, we can come into an arrangement" scene with Hella struck me. I saw Loki as someone analytical, far more fitting to be a King than Thor.

If you look at all of Odin's children, the main villain and cause of all the issues of Thor, Loki and Hela all seem to originate from Odin's terrible parenting skills. Each one of them is violent, war like and lack empathy, to one degree or another. Both Thor and Loki become better people when away from Odin's influence.
-
So if Odin hadn't ignored Loki perhaps Loki wouldn't have learned to see the people who get looked over. He sees them because he is one himself.
-
You also didn’t mention Old Loki, who became an amazing leader in the outskirts of the universe where the TVA couldn’t reach him. Then he stepped outside the safe zone for 1 second and everything was fucked but oh well
-
Loki has always been my favourite character in the MCU. He's just too clever for the rest to fathom!
-
Odin messed up ALL his children and I've been saying this forever.
-
The Loki show spelled out what Loki was all long, his story isn't that of a villain or really a side character, rather it's a tragedy in the background, pushed aside by the heroic stories of others. I'll always love the character, and I'm so excited that he's had the chance to redeem himself in his show.

Imagine how powerful they both would've been if they chose to rule together. They'd be unstoppable. Thor's might and Loki's brains and magic.
