The universe has lasted 13.8 Billion years and yet we were lucky enough to exist at the same time as David Bowie.
  • Pretty much everyone I've talked about this album with have characterized it as depressing, but I think the opposite. To continue crafting this album even as he knew he was going to die--to make that awareness a part of the artistic statement of the album, and retroactively turn it into his own epigraph--is incredibly inspiring to me. Bowie stares death down on this record, takes utter control of it, and fights back against its inevitability. And isn't that what we're all trying to do every day? He was a true luminary. Such a genius. He went out exactly how he wanted.

Legitimately one of the most haunting and heaviest albums, but surprisingly uplifting Because of him coming to terms with his mortality and the life beyond the grave. It's a true masterpiece unlike any other album, and it's a blessing to have lived in the same time period as him
  • David didn't even let death derail him from making a masterpiece. It takes a special kind of person for that Miss you , Starman...
  • It took a couple of years for me to bring myself to listen to this.I guess I could'nt bear that it was Bowies goodbye. He left us just as he found us. Undeserving and in Awe. Goodnight David.

I have been spending the past few days working through every one of David Bowie's albums and now, at the end, I can safely say that he is one of my favourite singers of all time. His artistic expression and the true feeling that seeps into his songs is unmatched. He was utterly special and will be immortalised through his incredible music.

Such a heavy, dark, brooding, depressive album. What a way to go, turning even the time to face the great mystery into an art statement. Respect!

David Bowie R.I.P., the greatest artist of all times, all the players on the album are jazz players, this was David Bowie, always bringing something new to his albums, always surprising, he knew that he would not tour for the album since he quit touring since 2003 so he did some fantastic vocals in some songs, in one song he recorded himself in 8 different vocals and then mixed all the vocals together, it sounds like harmonies that Uriah Heep used to do in David Byron era, thanks David Bowie for the fantastic journey, thanks Classic Music for sharing this masterpiece.

My GOD ... that last song. I think I listened to it 15 times in a row. "Seeing more and feeling less Saying no, and meaning yes This is all I ever meant That's the message that I sent." What a way to go out. And he's right: You Can't Give Everything Away. Irony at its fullest: He died with this beauty of an album, and he kept it. I don't any think ANY rock musician will ever go out better than this.

A thrilling and potent final goodbye. Just jawdropping genius from one of the greatest talents ever. We miss you, Sweet Prince

I love how Bowie created a different character for each album. He was a thespian with a harlequin heart 💜 this album he took off his mask and introduced us to David Jones. 💜💜💜💜💜
  • Bowie was part of the soundtrack of my highschool years and growing up in the 70s everything from rebel rebel, station to station and suffrigate city etc, etc; but this fckin blows me away.
  • Not many pieces of music make me cry because of their sheer beauty- I cry a lot listening to Blackstar
