Ruthlessness | Epic: The Musical Animatic
Music by Jorge Rivera-Herrans

This is my 2nd animatic and I really tried to pull out all the stops so to speak and also just find my groove. But I honestly love this and how it turned out and I hope you all do too! ❤️🥹 #epicthemusical

that water cyclops makes all of this HIT so much harder! esp since it makes it look like his men got consumed by them... the irony of it! i cant stop replaying

Odysseus: We didn’t want to hurt your son; we just needed to get away! Poseidon: rolls eyes Let me make myself clearer—

WHY IS EVERYONES POSEIDON SO ATTRACTIVE???😂😂
  • @hades1624
Dont know if it's just me, but when i typically see versions of posideon he is always mad, yet here he doesn't look mad at him it seems more like he's scolding him. It's almost that he's not mad that he harmed his son just more on the point that he didn't kill him and even, in a sense, mocked him

THE WAVES COMING UP AS CYCLOPS/SINGLE-EYED AS A REMINDER OF WHAT ODYSSEUS FAILED TO CONQUER AND EXACTLY WHAT WILL SOON CONQUER HIS MEN IS AHHHHHHH YOU ATE THIS UP 😍‼
  • @nudgificator
LIke some others have said, I really like the way Poseidon causes the waves by pulling them out from under the ships like a rug, or like he's doing the table cloth trick.
  • @RevolErtaeht
Again amazing animatic The way Poseidon grabs the water like he's grabbing fabric and the detail of his design is perfect

Ok am I the only one who think that this version of Poseidon is freaking HAWT?!?!?!
  • @samdancer101
Poseidon wasn't so much angry that Odysseus harmed Polythemus, but that he didn't have the decency to finish the job. He blinded him, made him a fool to the other cyclops (they didnt believe him that he'd been attacked), then left him to suffer. Had he simply killed Polythemus, Poseidon may have been a bit more merciful- after all, then you could say that his son died fighting. Instead, Odysseus insulted Poseidon by making his son a mockery, and by extension- Poseidon a mockery. All in all, beautiful animatic!

The flashing between Poseidon & Polites during “-and don’t get the job done” sent shivers, holy. Also, to add to a lot of the comments here, very hot Poseidon. Your art is really good 👌

Its so nice to see an animatic that doesn't show Poseidon smiling while explaining why he hates Odysseus. Great job. To me, the singer did an incredible job of giving an impression of supressed hatred an rage. So smiling seems so strange.

1:44 Where it flashes from Poseidon to the dead Polities gave me chills. Really well done. Even while Poseidon was human sized, he radiates an intimidating aura.
  • @angelaphsiao
This has to be the best Poseidon design I’ve seen yet! He’s definitely got that Greek marble statue regalness to him and the intimidation factor is insane!
  • @Knight_Dragon
I love how, unlike other versions of Poseidon I’ve seen in animatics who seem eccentric sadistic or enjoying it, this animatics version of Poseidon seems genuinely livid the entire time
  • @owca1000aj
I love when Odysseus said "It's baggin time" then opened the bag and bagged all over the place
  • @Hana_H
ABSOLUTELY EPIC!! I love their designs (especially Poseidon’s eyebrows) and expressions, POSEIDON SUMMONING WATER CYCLOPS WAS SO COLDDD HOLY HECK, AW SH!T POLITES??, AND THE MEN FALLING OVERBOARD??? Awesome stuff
  • @itscosmicnerd
just WOW. I absolutely ADORE your Poseidon design, splendid. Your art style is so awesome. The watercolour shading is so fitting, the panning, the editing?? FANTASTIC. this is genuinely one of my favourite animatics ever.
  • @SpaceOutlaww
Poseidon is so well done. The art and animation fits the voice well while still making him seem like a MENACING god. The emphasis on that look of pure terror on the crew's faces really sets the scene
  • Why does this one Warrior look like he is happy to see Poseidon?? I mean, yes, he is Hot, but you're about to die, man!
