  • I love nerds. I used to be tech savvy but got older. Now everything is so foreign to me. So I love watching these kind of videos. So I can act like I'm cool with the younger crowd lol.
  • I am so glad I found you!! I really am!! Last week I decided that the Firestick is the only way to go. Never thought about expanding storage or hooking-up a couple of echo dots for stereo sound from the TV. Can't wait to learn all that you're going to teach me. You and Alexa are my new best friends.

Tis video is underrated! Thanks for couple of advices! Love it.

Great info indeed needed to add more storage to my Fire TV Cube thanks a lot!!

Solid video and you provided a ton of useful information, I really appreciate it and have subscribed to your channel.
  • Thanks, I wish you could Cast to it from Home Assistant. I would love to see a security cam feed play as soon as the motion detection is triggered. Cheers

Brian, you really put a lot of effort into this useful and comprehensive video. I was hoping some of it would work with my two Insigia Fre TVs, but it's not to be. Nevertheless it's a great reference. BTW, I love the FireTV platform. Yep, I also have a Roku and Chromecast on each TV and also have an Nvidia Shield TV, but the FireTV is my default platform.
  • Great video. I will no doubt end up coming back several times to watch sections to support me trying out these things. I like the option of using Echo speakers to beef up the sound of the TV. I notice you did not mention echo Shows as an option. Is it possible to use one of these as one of the speakers?

Your like a kid in a candy store, I love it. It was an awesome video….Now I just need hook mine up. I have the 4k one, bought it a couple years ago and threw it in the drawer because I don’t know what I’m doing. I’ve been watching your videos and I need to Thank you for giving me the confidence just to plug it in 😉. Wish me luck! See you in another video. 😎
  • @IC086
    Comprehensive and well presented ...
  • @rinskepv
Wow so much info for this old brain - coming back to watch again, maybe a few times - interested in the external drive and connecting my phone ...

Maybe it's just me, but I had a problem with a uGreen hub on the Firestick. It's old but works fine on my Shield and my Windows server. . I kept losing connection to my usb stick. I swapped and all is good. I have two Atolls hubs from Amazon, one 7 port and a 4 port. These provide a good amount of powér, are reliable and inexpensive. The 4 port Atolls works great on the Firestick. .
