Steve, you can't resist the Book store urge!
-
Nice! Books on the American Revolution, books on the American Civil war … sounds like music to my ears. Great book haul Steve. We all need Aaron Facer prompting more hauls from you. What an instigator!
-
What a mighty haul!
-
The SEP is currently published 6 times a year.
-
Steve we gotta get an instant reaction to the trial results! My first thought was what is Steve thinking now 😅
-
If ever there was a time for a Stevestream lol...

I grabbed a mass market paperback of the Harry Hansen Civil War book from my local bookstore's used book rack a while back. Didn't know anything about it other than it was a Civil War book for a dollar. Glad to learn it has the Steve stamp of approval!

If you had to choose, would you classify 'Le Morte Darthur' as historical fiction, science fiction or fantasy (or other)?
-
I may have to track down a copy of that Saturday Evening Post Treasury. Irvin Cobb is from my neck of the woods and I don't come across his work either on its own or in collections often.
-
I had no idea SEP was still being published! I think I last saw it in the 70s!
-
I wonder if Dr. Franklin was a founder on the Saturday Evening Post. Norman Rockwell is a National Treasure.
-
The decidedly not so great Roger Elwood also edited a couple or more sf anthologies with Sam Moskowitz.
-
Saturday Evening Post last weekly edition was 2/8/1969
-
Sigh. You are such a cook that you need a whisk.
-
Hi Steve. Is there an equivalent to the Saturday Evening Post in today's world? What's the nearest thing?
-
My back aches looking at that pile.
-
Elwood came to science fiction by the really weird route of wrestling magazines.

Sorry about the road construction, Steve. And yes, its embarassing how strapped to the gils with firearms this country is. Places like Ireland and the UK think we are insane, because one of the major parties cares more about fetuses (unfeeling malformed biological parasitical mush) than about our schoolchildren.

Laced up your bigboy pants. . . So wearing lederhosen?
